Our Offensive system is made possible by one player. You could probably take half the league starters and bring them here as backups and Dallas would lose 90% of their games. Romo is the OC and QB. He is the system. Without him, Garrett and Linehan don't have a clue how to get a winning game plan together for someone not named Romo.

Everyone already knows the season is sunk regardless if Romo goes down early. If it's season ending it doesn't even matter if it's late. At this point there is nothing but junk left out there in FA, or guys we would have to give up too much to trade for - that won't even provide anything substantial ie championship. Give Dak and Showers the reps, and unless they also get hurt, ride it out, and figure out what they can do and the plan for next offseason.

I love how everyone chiming in says our season is done if Romo goes down. Was there not a point last year, during a six game losing streak, that if we had just won 1 game we would have been in playoff position. The season doesn't have done be done if Romo goes down as long as he's coming back.

Did they win that one game? If hes coming back well...that situation is expected. I would be shocked if he plays 16 games. The season will be shot if he gets knocked out. The post you quoted even specifically references "season ending".

Was looking forward with age compared to those stats which he was younger and without shoulder issues. Everything in life comes with risks, I think the Cowboys are determine how much they want to insure that risks.
