The Cowboys don't try to fool defenses.

Most years they are about 80% pass when in shotgun and 80% run when under Center.

They cut Thompson to get a comp draft pick, and Brown will b fine. Give him a full week of practice and be put in the game plan. Thompson was never going to get 6 passes thrown his way, and Brown most likely will not either.

But fans want a big play from every player every play.

Only a few players play every snap the entire game on each side of the ball.

QB and the OL. Maybe some DB’s.
WR and RB need a breather now and then. As the Wr are rubbing downfield or across the field all the time.

This is all part of the plan. Watch out for a critical 3 and 2 when they slide him out and pass to him for a big conversion play.

Atleast I would think about doing that if I was the OC...
