Seems like Nawrocki is not that all enamored with a lot of the DEs coming out this year. First time I heard any scout say Barnett should gain weight and kick inside as a 3 technique.

Humphrey, Awuzie, Kazee, Conley

If you don't mind, of course.

The Humphrey and Awuzie ones were not very remarkable.

Conley

Future: A lean, long-limbed, athletic, smart, press corner with the length, long speed and confidence to match up against big, No. 1 receivers. Could stand to improve his strength as a tackler and continue developing physically, yet possesses all the tools to step into a starting lineup readily and compete from Day One and eventually emerge as a No. 1 corner. Strong leadership traits bring an added value.

Scout’s take: “(Conley) looked really good (at the Combine). He has a little hip tightness that you see in his transition sometimes and better long speed than short speed. You know I’m a hard grader. He keeps pushing his way up for me.”

Cam Robinson, Desmond King, Blair Brown, Ryan Anderson, Derek Rivers.

:)

No more for you.

Rivers

Future: Strong, straight-line fast, edge rusher with the speed more typically seenon the right side than the left end in which he played and has the tools to make a living converting speed to power in pass-rush situations. Inconsistencies against the run have been glaring and he does not play with the same strength and power that his Combine workout might indicate.

Scout’s take: “There were games he was just standing around and not going hard. He has short arms. He’s not good against the run. His hand use is marginal at best. He could have had 20 sacks if he didn’t take plays off, especially at that level. I wish he were tougher.”

Hall

Future: An intriguing, athletic pass rusher with unique versatility to play up or down in multiple fronts. One of the few prospects in the draft with the size, frame and enough athletic ability to be utilized as an outside linebacker or 5-technique in an odd front or as an end in an even front, and versatility could drive up his value.

Scout’s take: “(Hall) is really a 4-3 base end. He has a big frame but not the strength. He’s stiff and mechanical.”

Basham

Future: Long-legged, high-hipped, developmental pass rusher with a high ceiling.

Shows big-time flashes of becoming a legit NFL sack artist, but is still a year away and must continue honing his craft and becoming more consistent on a down-to-down basis. Would highly benefit from spending time with a veteran pass rush coach who can teach him the nuance of rushing the passer. Still growing into his body and needs to get stronger to handle an every-down role in the pros.

Scout’s take: “Our coaches really like him. I don’t think he can be a linebacker after watching him work out (at the Combine). He needs to have his hand in the dirt and be coming forward. That’s how he is going to make his living.”

thanks
basham is on my short list at 28,there are very few true DEs at the top and he could be instant plug in at LDE.hall is my pet cat and very underrated for some reason.

.

Kazee's got off the field concerns? First I'm hearing of this.
That was the first I heard of it as well. Did some digging, nothing. Never been suspended or arrested, his brother is a sheriff.

Well, when he fights with his brother, he is assaulting a police officer, so....

Really shouldn't be cutting and pasting it all since it is not on the internet and "free", but basically what you have heard about these players is about what he has.

Bowser is raw and needs to develop, Tankersley is a flag machine that won't tackle, Jones is solid all around, Willis is a stiff hard-working left end. Interesting thing about Willis is there was no scout comments, but a long quote from Bill Snyder about what a wonderful human being he is.

Ok, more or less the same analysis from others except about how Tankersley won't tackle.

I thought that was one of his more positive traits.

I guarantee you everyone on this board will say we reached for Basham at 28. I wouldn't necessarily be one of them though even though I'd rather trade down and take him at 30 something. He's going to be a nice player quickly. If he played at LSU nobody would hate the pick at 28.
