I use Cointreau instead of Grand Marnier but have used both on occasion.
I prefer Grand Marnier as it's a blend of cognac and triple sec whereas Cointreau is straight up (although a high end) a triple sec.

I just find Grand Marnier (the cognac part of it) makes a difference in my Margaritas when paired with Patron Silver.

My family is Italian so we always have Eggplant Parmesean on holidays in addition to turkey, ham, etc.

I prefer traditional just because I would never eat that kind of food otherwise.

My great grandmother used to make this pineapple side dish. She taught my mom. It sounds a little odd but it’s fantastic.

Ingredients:

3 cans of pineapple chunks in their own juice.
Sugar
Butter
Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Flour
Ritz crackers

Directions:

-Drain the 3 cans of pineapple chunks and place the chunks into a baking dish.
-add one cup of sugar
-add 2 tsp of flour
-add 8 oz of shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Mix well.

Take 2 sleeves of Ritz crackers. Crumble the Ritz crackers and spread Evenly over the top of the pineapple mix you just made.

Drizzle one Full stick of melted butter evenly over the Crumbled Ritz crackers.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350.

It’s amazing.

That's a weird recipe. I'm sure my wife (she loves Pineapple) would love that.
