Norm: I don't believe Jerry Jones will let this team be disciplined

thats not true and that is not what I said.

what I said was that the people going have the money to go, they enjoy going and its like a giant sportsbar.

I said nothing about the fans being bad, I was speaking to them not going.
you should sell your tickets and atleast make some money off this joke of a team.

thats fine but what i said is still true. see last week when our WRs are trying to quiet the ignorant masses down as Tony tries to communicate at the line in the red zone....

We'll see, but the fact is people are getting where they dont care about the Cowboys that much anymore, and seats are expensive there at the new stadium.

Texas Stadium was half occupied in Landry's last yr and most of Jimmy's first yr. There were tons of no shows at the end of Campo's time. They even had a couple games when Parcells was here where fans of the other team has a huge showing at OUR place.

If they are a middling team come December, there wont be a full house for the Chargers or Eagles games, and if the team is middle of the pack they might not have full houses for the Skins or Raiders at the end of November.

again, I dont think that is the case.

check the attendance figures for the cowboys in the 80s, its pretty sad. there are times when there were 40000 there. Its a totally different group of people buying tickets for the new place as opposed to texas stadium.

I think for alot of people its like a status thing.

I can't see Jerry relinquishing the reigns any time soon, the best you can hope for is Stephen to start barking in his ear.One thing about Jerry though,he haits to lose. The question is this,is 12 years without a playoff victory enough for him to concede that a change in style is needed.

Alright.

Let's focus on Jerry. He's the problem, not the fans!

Im never going to do that. I will be right there fighting with them.

Unfortunately, I just dont think we have the ability to handle some of the fights that are coming.

I think this was a really really big loss, mentally and just sheer importance. I think there are only two games that we can be expected to win, kc and seattle.

And honestly, I am very worried about this kc game. KC will spill all the emotion they have left on this game, because they may suck but if they win they can embarrass us.

and this team reminds me of the 05 team trying to find its way week to week looking like a different team.

and what stands out about 05, the loss at 0-3 oakland.

I think we are in big trouble from the loss today and if we were to find a way to lose to kc I think its over.

I'd like to believe that Jerry giving up his GM duties is the "simple fix" to this problem, but I highly doubt it. Jerry wants the team to win as badly, if not more so, than most of the fans here. Yes, ultimate accountability always seems to float to the top, but I highly doubt Jerry thinks hiring a disciplinarian coach is a negative for him, or these media generated myths that there is a lack of accountability because players go behind the coach's back to him, are really legitimate issues. Jerry is a marketing man first and foremost, and he knows a winning product equals more money.

If Jerry truly wanted to win as bad as the fans then he would fire the crap GM that has held the team back for over a decade.

Jerry's ego trumps winning.

It's over now. this team is even worse than last year.

Truer words have not been spoken on here.

Jerry is a disgrace and should be booed like when he canned Tex Schramm then stabbed Tom Landry and Jimmy Johnson in the back.

you wrong on the empty seats. The fans who attend games at the new stadium are middle to upper middle class people, alot of them are there to drink and have a good time, the game is secondary. I dont think we will have empty seats.

In the stadium there are alot of people just eating and watching the videoboard, its like they are at a sports bar. I dont think people will stop going for this reason.

Put the hater pipe down, and view reality for a change.

again that is not true for the majority. My point was that people invested alot and it is a status thing, there will not be empty seats.

I highly doubt that. He hired Parcells so that is evidence that disproves that point.

Regardless, this is a battle that internet forum posters aren't going to win.

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that the further we get away from having a strong HC the worse we're getting.

I know we went 13-3 in Wade's first year, but finished 1-2 down the stretch and then one and done in the playoffs. Then missed the playoffs last year on the final week and now we're be fortunate to finish above .500 this year.

Jerry's way led us to three straight 5-11 seasons. Parcells got us back to the playoff and on the right track. Now Jerry takes back the reins and we're heading back down.

His solution after last year was continuity, more of the same.

Jerry is 67? it's gonna be a long time before we have a real team again.

I agree. Its over, and I know there are 12 games left and I will watch them all, but the recipe for failure today was the same as it has been too many times. Romo awards the opposition points (10), and the defense folds like a cheap suit at the end.

And when Parcells left, Jerry was quick to deem his time here a failure and quickly took back the reins.

Not going to say Jerry will never go that route again, but not too optimistic about it either.
