No offense, but you dated the SAME GIRL for 3 1/2 YEARS, and were STILL duped into the "monthly anniversary" scam, complete with GIFTS!?!

I'm beginning to see the problem. ;)

:laugh2:.... I had actually put an end to the monthly thing a long while back.. the gift I had gotten her (a blue opal bracelet) was b/c I didn't get her anything for the yearly anniversary which was the month before haha

We should just bomb New Jersey.

No need, I figure that within in another 10 years or so, y'all will pull another 3-Mile Island deal, and save us the effort.

Yeaaaaaaa, stupid media for doing their jobs. How dare they!?!

Oh is it their jobs to make things personal and trash someone and attack them personally and then in the end get mad because he didnt talk to them?

Parcells gave interviews he just didnt do it with the gutter trash that is Dallas media.

If they were concerned with the fans getting answers they would already realize the fans heard the inerviews from the other media market

The only think the dallas media is mad about is that THEY didnt get a chance to hammer him one more time

I just liked the story book ending to BP's career. I was infatuated with him riding off in the sunset with another title so much that I was blinded to the fact that his stubborn archaic ways weren't getting our team anywhere.

If you dont think this has to do with Northeast vs Dallas then you are kidding yourselves.

He never acclimated to the fans and the city and that was painfully obvious to the media in Dallas.

His comment about 'The city of Dallas overvalues the Cowboys' really ticked me off as if New Yorkers dont do the same thing with regard to the Yankees.

And as far as you saying The Ticket and ESPN103.3 are not serious. Was that a statement made in jest or were you being serious?

Norm is a very well respected and insightful Radio Personality, where the Manager of the Rangers, Owner of the Cowboys and Mavericks, HC of the Mavericks and a host of other "important" people come on a regular basis.

But of course, The Tuna is too good for old Poe Dunk Dallas  .

- Mike G.

I clearly said norm is the only real sports show in Dallas. Thats it the rest are too worried about other things. I happen to love Bad radio though.

How did he acclamate himself to the city of new york? or boston. He never did any special media sessions there to go out of his way to get to know the fans....

he doest care man. Worried about football only. I appreciated that in him.

Its not northeast vs Dallas. You are fooling yourself. He only has friends in the media he trusts there, that is how he has always been.

Had he been coaching the last 4 years in Seattle, tampa or San diego it would have been the same.

He didnt come here to make friends. He is out of his element here. Cant blame him for that, he was here to rebuild an organization and win. He gave it a shot.

Why should he stand there and be forced to take questions from know nothings like jjt, clarence hill, jen engle or Dale friggen hansen?

No good would come of that.

The questions would have been.

Owens...owens....you stole money from jerry....owens...your a failure....owens.....money from jerry...owens.....etc..

What is the point in that. He doesnt have to do that and no one should be upset about it.

It really is funny how everyone is so concerned about him not having a press conference. What is left to tell? Do you really think he cares whether or not randy galloway thinks he quit over money? DO you think he cares what mac engle thinks about his relationship with owens.

He has a friendship with francessa, that is why he did the show. Nothing more nothing less.

The haters should be happy he is gone and out of your life. Now we can get back to all that winning before he got here. And if we are lucky we will draft a dwayne goodrich or a sherman williams this year, you know one of those great players that have strolled through here since jimmy left.

Please cite where there were "personal" attacks against Parcells. And to label all Dallas as "gutter trash", is about as realistic as your sig, proclaiming Jones the equal to Dorsett and Smith.

Are you seriously trying to suggest that JJT, Galloway, Hansen and the likes never personally attacked Parcells? Calling him the new jersey conman, making up stories of him quitting over money etc?

And to label all Dallas as "gutter trash",

Nice try I didnt say that at all, I labeled Dallas MEDIA as gutter trash which is a good representation

Where does my sig say that? Answer it doesnt. It mentions the history of greatness which is Tony D and Emmitt. Then has JJ in the forefront meaning he is trying to get into that group.

But hey thanks for making up things I never said and then bringing my sig that has nothing to do with the post into the conversation!

Bill is one of the biggest bullies in the game. He arrogantly treated players, coaches and the press with contempt, and the sheep expect us not to notice. After shamelessly stonewalling the local media, he then has the audacity to conduct a radio interview with his favorite NY buttkissers from his office at Valley Ranch. If that's not one big middle finger to the fans, I don't know what is. What a disgrace. Good riddance.

When has Parcells done anything remotely like what other coaches are SUPPOSED to do?

I have no problem with him not speaking to the local media. They ripped him to shreds after the Seattle game. They ripped him throughout his tenure. They ripped him while he decided whether to return or not. I wouldn't necessarily rush to stand in front of them either to tell them of my decision. I imagine he and Jerry spoke at length before deciding how they were going to deliver the news.

And it's not like he hasn't spoken to the media or provided an explanation. He just hasn't spoken to THEM.

I disagree with this take completely. While I did not care if he gave a PC,
some fans wanted to hear from him.

Addressing the fans is everyone of the Cowboys obligation, since we are the ones paying salaries and we should always remember this.

It should a lack of class not to stand up and end his tenure with the Cowboys.

He gave every other stop this "courtesy"?

But he did address the fans, it's just HOW he addressed the fans that people take issue with. That's their prerogative.

But I wonder what questions could the Dallas media have asked that the Peter King article and the WFAN interview did not address?

I'm just not concerned with how he left other organizations. And the fact that he's assisting Jerry during the transition says alot to me. He didn't just quit and then exited stage left. He's assisting in the transition, which is standard professional courtesy in the corp world.

Giving interviews is flipping off the fans? Not like he is being silent. He just isnt giving his interview thru the pathetic Dallas media.

Kind of strange how he supposedly abuses media, coaches and players, yet he's got so many lifelong friends in both areas.

FWIW, using the word "sheep" repeatedly to describe people is a tell-tale sign of someone who lives in his mom's basement, thinks they're well read because they've read Fight Club and plays a little too much Playstation. The less you use that word, the better ...for you.

Bill is still here helping jerry out, even in his resignation he is helping to make this team better. I could give a hoot whether he got up on TV and told a buncha reporters a thing.

Let's not turn Parcells into Mother Theresa. Apparently he wouldn't have resigned had he garnered another extension. So he is worn out and mentally dead with the Seattle game being the nail in the coffin. I guess a contract extension would have been the new resurrection.

Parcells stayed until the end of this week because he gets paid much cake. Yes it is nice he is being diligent and not wanting to burn bridges and this is appropriate considering he held the team, media and fan base in limbo until he decided his final course of action.

As far as him not owing an explanation to anyone but Jones I believe an exit conference would have been appropriate for the Dallas Cowboys clients meaning the revenue generating fan base, sponsors, short term and longer term advertisers, and indirectly the media.
