I couldnt agree more...I am not saying Norv is Tom Landry in waiting, but he did end up in two bad situations

but how good would Landry have been had he coached the Giants in the 70's instead of the Cowboys?

for all the people bashing Norv and saying he was awful in Washington, maybe you should go read up on the Commanders each yr under his coaching...they werent 4-12 every yr and getting blown out every week

You are correct.

In his final year, they were a team that had a monumental collapse that has rarely been seen in Washington--ever. Starting 6-2 and ending up 8-8 is exactly what prompted some here to ride Coach Parcells out on a rail. Yet now, that's desireable?

That is my opinion anyways.

He had Washington turned into a respectable team and Snyder started trying to make football decisions and it ended up being the downfall of that team.
