I think he can be better than Calvin Johnson. Him and Ware are by far the best players on the team.

Who's not buying Dez Bryant? If you're not buying into him then you might as well not buy into this team. He's the best player on the team, period and IMO he will be the true leader of this team by the end of the year.

He sounds so confident and at peace it's great to hear this young man that so many wanted to give up on believes in himself and is happy and thankful. Looking for a huge year from him. So fun to watch.

He's easily the best player on the team.

I am definitely buying Dez, but I wouldn't say he is easily the best player on the team. Ware, Witten, Romo and Lee have something to say about that. I will say that if he lives up to expectations this year you could put him there, but Romo is the true leader of the team right now.

Ware is on the decline, Romo is a headcase in big games, Lee can't stay on the field, Witten is consistent and a HOF but Dez is more of a game changer.

I guarantee you ask the young players and at least 7/10 look up to Dez over anyone on the team. He has a realness and down to earth nature that you don't get from the other guys.

He might be the best player on the Cowboys (when compared to other players playing his position in the NFL) however he isn't the most important. Fact of the matter is that there isn't a lot of difference between Great WRs (ie Top 5) vs Good WRs (6-15 or so). Very few, if any, of the Superbowl winning teams over the past decade had or needed Great WRs. Compare that huge difference having a Great QB (Top 5) has vs having just a good one.

Romo and Ware figure much more prominently in the Cowboys' chance of Superbowl success than Dez does.

That's just speculation about Ware, Romo is not even close to a head case, but I will give you Lee. Dez looks up to Romo as does everyone else, especially on offense. Romo leads them in the huddle, he coaches them on the side line and he is in the meetings about the offense. The young guys definitely look up to Romo more than Dez, who is saying all the right things and could very well become a leader this year.

Seems like the light came on for him last year when he realized he was gonna have to be the man and he snatched the torch outta Austins hand and took off.

Sorry to burst your bubble but none of that is true about Romo. Dez is who these young guys really look up to. Wilcox, Webb, T-Will, Randle all mentioned the excitement of coming to Big D and playing with Dez. If I had time I'd go and find all the interviews for you.

I swear you'd think dez has been in the league for five plus years putting up huge numbers with the way folks here talk, lets stop with the knee jerk reaction here guys. Stuff like "He's easily the best player on the team." is just idiotic to say, the dude has only had 1 1,000 yard season and people are already putting him ahead of HoF players. He's honestly only had 1 great HALF of football so far (out of 3 years), last year he got off to a slow start(500 yards/2tds), though he did finish very well(879 yards/10tds).

I do think dez can ball though and we all should be excited to see him play this upcoming year. I just don't think "He's easily the best player on the team.", though I will say he's the most funnest the watch on our team. He makes some incredible plays that just put you in awe, definitely looking forward to seeing him play this year!

I see what your saying about WR's but he is a go to guy that those SB teams need.

Are you serious? Have you not read anything about Romo this off season and training camp?

Just because you are excited about playing with someone doesn't automatically make them a leader.

Sorry man but you wouldn't understand unless you've been in the locker room. I don't want to sound like i'm bashing Romo but his aloof personality does not endear him to people like Dez does. Dez is 100X more sociable with his teammates on and more importantly off the field than Romo is.

I'm anxious to see how he reacts to the constant double teams he will see this year. I hope frustration doesn't rule his game. This will determine how much he has matured. I hope he handles it like a Pro.

And I am sure you are in the locker room everyday with this team.

Just because you are cool to talk to doesn't mean you are a good leader, which I am not saying Dez isn't. To be a leader means not necessarily being everyone's friend all the time, sometimes you have to be the bad guy and lead by example. You have to let them know there is a fine line and you can't always be buddy buddy with them.
