Another great interview given by none other than Dez's older twin the Playmaker.

I'm going to camp next week and am so bummed but I would have loved getting to see Irvin there. What a treat!

Thrilled for Dez that he looks like he's gotten himself stabilized. It's a marathon, not a sprint and plenty more tests await. Stay grounded young fella. What is he 24?

Regarding leadership, it takes many different forms. Dez can certainly play a role there. He has a physical presence that very, very few have. But to at the same time dismiss Romo, Witten, Lee & Ware as leaders is beyond silly. This team is just fine in that area. Just fine.

That's just speculation about Ware, Romo is not even close to a head case, but I will give you Lee. Dez looks up to Romo as does everyone else, especially on offense. Romo leads them in the huddle, he coaches them on the side line and he is in the meetings about the offense. The young guys definitely look up to Romo more than Dez, who is saying all the right things and could very well become a leader this year.

... and don't forget, Tony worked his tail off from Eastern IL and is now the face of the Cowboys, MVP of the Cowboys and is paid.

Is Brady aloof? Let's see...(look at the score in the game)

Aikman aloof? LOL. Michael Irvin was scared to cross him.

Weren't you the one beating the drums a year ago to lock up Dez and throw away the key?

Why the need to bash Romo to compliment Dez? Childish IMO. And played out. You realize Dez himself always credits Tony. As far as backing Dez early on when others were bashing him, Romo did that - he always had Dez's back and vice versa. They spent extra time together to get to this point. It's a win/win sitaution as they will combine for the #1 QB-WR tandem in the league this year. Fans should be excited about these guys being TOGETHER. Anything else is silly internet games amongst people who have no clue about what really goes on inside the team.

Bash Romo. Go back and look at the convo. I'm not the one who brought Romo into the discussion. I guess my praise for Dez was a little too much so some people got sensitive and decided to remind me of Romo's influence.

2 years ago Hatcher said he didn't know who the leaders were on the team. What does that tell you?

As a vet, you love having young talents like Dez, Tyron, Lee, Bailey, Murray & Bruce. It's awesome when a guy like Dez just amazes players like Ware, Witten & Romo with that freakish ability.

He not only instills a youth and excitement in them that they surely remember from their early years but he also became a our go-to guy down the stretch. You saw our players trust and lean on Dez in tight games and situations.

I would really love to have a crystal ball so I could watch how things might have played out if that finger was in bounds against NY.

Who knows, it may have helped Dez that he was out of bounds. But I would still love to be able to watch what the outcome could have been from that point going forward.

Last I read, this thread was about Dez...

Must we turn this into a Romo-leadership merry-go-round?

I don't care who brought his name up or who is just responding... Move on... PLEASE

Maybe you missed his almost 1400 yard 12 TD season? It's about more than a good offseason.
