Who's not buying Dez Bryant? If you're not buying into him then you might as well not buy into this team.
This is exactly what I came in to this thread to say.

Hate to harp on this point but I'm so proud of this guy's maturation process on and off the field. For the 6 or 7 other posters who stood by Dez when everyone else here quit on him, I know you guys are beaming with joy as well. Gonna be a great year for him
So wait, does Jerry get boatloads of credit for trading up and drafting Dez now?
Just kidding. I've been here long enough to know Jerry only gets credit when something goes wrong.
Sorry to burst your bubble but none of that is true about Romo. Dez is who these young guys really look up to. Wilcox, Webb, T-Will, Randle all mentioned the excitement of coming to Big D and playing with Dez. If I had time I'd go and find all the interviews for you.
Sorry man but you wouldn't understand unless you've been in the locker room. I don't want to sound like i'm bashing Romo but his aloof personality does not endear him to people like Dez does. Dez is 100X more sociable with his teammates on and more importantly off the field than Romo is.
LOL What does this rant have to do with what I said? If Dez played for SF he would have won a Super Bowl too. That is nonsense about Romo. He's been a one-man team for years. If he played in San Francisco, he would have won the Super Bowl last year.
Is Brady aloof? Was Aikman? Rodgers, Peyton, Young, Moon......?
Leaders tend to be that way. Dez is a phenomenal player, but he's a long way from being a mentor for other players. Maybe one day.
I think that's more a result of people measuring WR performance in terms of production (rec, yds, TD) rather than efficiency (yards per target, catch rate, TD% INT%). If you used the same stats to judge WR performance that are used for QB, you'd find a greater correlation between WR performance and successful passing attacks. He might be the best player on the Cowboys (when compared to other players playing his position in the NFL) however he isn't the most important. Fact of the matter is that there isn't a lot of difference between Great WRs (ie Top 5) vs Good WRs (6-15 or so). Very few, if any, of the Superbowl winning teams over the past decade had or needed Great WRs. Compare that huge difference having a Great QB (Top 5) has vs having just a good one.
Is Brady aloof? Let's see...(look at the score in the game)
Aikman aloof? LOL. Michael Irvin was scared to cross him.
Weren't you the one beating the drums a year ago to lock up Dez and throw away the key?
