In first two minutes of that video they showed Dez drop three passes that he got both hands on. That’s Dak’s fault? Lol If you’re going to put together a video to crap on Dak and try and make Dez look like a victim of the QB he’s playing with, don’t show Dez dropping catchable balls. The guy that posted the video is disputing what the experts and everyone else is saying about Dez. They’re all wrong and he’s right. Sounds like the fans you deal with here.

How did Dak do in that game?

Oh right, he lost a game in which his defense only gave up 136 yards total.

Romo never played that poorly in win or go home games

Finale vs. Philly '08

21-39 183 yards 0 TD's 1 INT 55.8 QB Rating

Finale vs. Washington '12

20-37 218 yards 2 TD's 3 INT's 55.9 QB Rating

Anything else?

He hasn't lost it .He has a QB that is incapable

If he hasn’t lost anything and it’s all on Dak then how come Dez is going to be asked to take a pay cut? If it’s all on Dak how come there’s talk Dez could be released? The last time we saw Dez at his best with Romo, he only had 6 catches for 86 yards and no TD’s in the playoffs. Twill outproduced him in the playoffs that year.

The last five games Dez played with Romo including the 2014 playoffs he had 17 catches for 205 yards and no TD’s. He was on the way down when Romo was still our starting QB. Romo didn’t go to Dez much in the playoffs in 2014 because he didn’t want to make mistakes. The biggest issues Romo was having in the playoffs was turnovers and he didn’t have a single turnover in the 2014 playoffs.

How were the fans here toward Romo when he was playing, say prior to Dak?

Many were blaming Romo. Even some of his greatest supporters started bailing on him after the season finale elimination loss to Washington and a limping RG3 in 2013. I’ve posted the link many times to the thread that was started after that game with many on this board not wanting to re-sign Romo to a big contract extension. This was the thread and note that I was one of the few who defended Romo. Anyone who thinks I hated Romo this thread shot down that BS.

The last elite qb that we had here
And how many years did it take him to be elite? How old was he when he figured it out? Let's give the 24-year-old more than 33 games.

Everyone remembers Tony's prime seasons and the final great years. No one in the NFL called him elite for quite some time. Most of them don't become elite on draft day.

Romo was still carrying a clipboard after his second season. Some need to go back and look at Aikman’s first couple of years. Troy was 0-11 his rookie year and some were calling him a bust. Some thought Steve Walsh was better because he led the Cowboys to their only win in 1989. Dak was great his rookie year and solid after the first 8 games in 2017 until Zeke was suspended and Tyron started missing games. Some never even considered Romo elite due to his lack of playoff success. Most always had him ranked outside the top five QBs. Roethilsberger, Brady, Brees, Eli and Rodgers were always ranked ahead of him because of Super Bowl wins.

Prescott lacks the skillset to be an elite passer. That should be evident to anyone thats paying attention...

He has the skill set to be an elite QB if the OL gives him adequate protection and his receivers do their job. He’s accounted for 56 TD’s passing and running the past two seasons. Name all the QBs who’ve accounted for more than that the past two seasons. Anyone who’s paying attention knows Dak is a talented player but he’s not going to be able to get it done by himself. We saw what happened with Romo when you put games on his shoulders. Go back and count up the turnovers he committed by trying to do too much. Go back and see how many times he got injured trying to do too much.

He had some dreadful performances when too much was put on him and too much being put on him is what finally ended his career. The past two seasons we’re 22-10 with Dak at QB and we were the top seed in the NFC his rookie year. Anyone who would try and put all the miscues between Dez and Dak entirely on Dak doesn’t have a freaking clue! If it was all on Dak, Dez wouldn’t be receiving the criticism he’s getting from fans and those who get paid to talk football and no one would be talking about him having to take a pay cut or being released. No one would be talking about the Cowboys possibility taking a WR with their first pick if Dez wasn’t a big part of the problem.

We have a fan base still hung on a QB we didn’t win a damn thing with. It was never all Romo’s fault but everything that went wrong last season was all Dak’s fault? Whenever Romo and Dez weren’t on the same page it was always Dez’s fault and most of the time it was but every miscue between Dak and Dez is all Dak’s fault? Get real!

On Romo's last pick in that game he had DeMarco Murray wide open in the flat with nothing but green grass ahead of him. Romo threw it right to a Commanders linebacker and it cost Dallas the game. I will never forget it. I am and always was a Romo supporter, but that one pass sticks in my mind.

Dez is plenty at fault and easily more at fault for his price tag. Get paid to be elite, but play pedestrian?? He causes no separation that will make life harder on all, but the truly elite qbs.

Season finale, 2012. That was a low point for Romo.

That performance had most of this board bailing on Romo. Few wanted to re-sign him to a huge contract extension. Many wanted him traded or released and wanted to tank with Kyle Orton until we found another QB. I posted the link to the thread. I said it was the 2013 season finale but actually it was the 2012 season finale when he suffered that meltdown versus Washington. That was clearly the worst game he played all that season. One of the worst of his career.

What was really sad about it was RG3 was limping around injured and only passed for 100 yards but he didn’t turn the ball over while Romo suffered 3 miserable turnovers that helped cost us that game. The defense performed as poorly as Romo giving up 200 rushing yards to Alfred Morris.

This is my final say on the topic:

Dez came into the NFL a supremely talented pure athlete. However, numerous foot and other injuries have robbed him of his burst and explosion. This exposes the fact he is not a very good route runner nor, how can I put this....a very intelligent football player.

As for Dak Prescott, he needs receivers that can win early on their routes. He does not need to force the ball to Dez 12 times a game to get three catches and an interception in return. He does not need Dez screaming over him in the huddle or on the sidelines.

In short, the Cowboys do not need Dez Bryant anymore. Dak feels the need to force the ball to Bryant and it's hurting his game. Prescott needs to be rid of Dez the same way Tony Romo needed to be freed of T.O. in 2009.

Yeah Dez' fumble that led to a TD and a drop that became a pick, and Bailey missing three FGs had nothing to do with it.
Nothing at all... I don't see how you could make such outrageous claims!

For shame!!!
For shame...
