But what makes you think the 49ers wouldn't have shut it down? Everyone in here agrees the 49ers defense is better than ours, but our defense shutdown CMac, their legitimate 1b

Multiple
receiver, their superior scheme. Dak just tried to force throws when he didn't need to
It's all in the numbers I provided.

Dak/Kellen didn't force throws/targets in games when the run game is effective.

Multiple ex NFL QBs have done analysis videos of the game. All of them had issues with the route combos and route running details.

So it's the some ole....if everything goes right, Dak and the Cowboys are likely to succeed.

It's funny that these pro Dak supporting comments always seem to include an IF.

It's ridiculous, literally everything has to go right, Purdy didn't have everything go right for him, he just played smarter, that simple

I'm sorry but doesn't matter how many players you add when your QB throws it to the other team consistently multiple times a game....

That’s the rub……we all knew he would rebound from the 1 TD performance against the Skins, but we all knew that he would crap the bed against the Niners after that

hes consistently inconsistent
You coud be right but if the talent to do it is there then would coaching not be brought up.... Changing the OC may yield the same results, BUT if it works then your not back in QB hell and wasting this defense. If it doesnt your in the same spot just a year closer to being out of the contract.

Dak played a bad game . there's no getting around that, but if I remember correctly the title of this thread was Dallas is Not far from challenging. And They most definitely are. I guess it comes down to some want Dallas to Get rid of Prescott

and start over. OK if that's how you see it ok that's your opinion. But don't sit here and say that the Dallas Cowboys aren't in contention. That's just blowing smoke up certain orifices. Dallas was among 8 teams with a shot at the Super Bowl

and came within 8 points of getting the job done, and that's with Dak throwing two picks. So yes they aren't far from challenging.

this season Dakota was easy to project. Every other game he was pretty good.

inconsistency has been his issue.

Dak may not be elite, but he is good enough. I think we are only a few players away from being in the thick of things next year. They are: bolstering the oline, and dline,Safety and another wide receiver, and bring in a slew of running backs via draft, free agency, and undrafted. Big Mike, calling the plays in another year under Quinn and we will give everyone in the NFC a real hard time.
Divisional round playoff loss seems to be our ceiling.

A lot of teams are not far from challenging. We see teams go from not making the playoffs to the super bowl quite often. Had the league not added a 7th playoff team, that would have been Philly this year. Lets see what this team does in the off season.

we were 2 games away from the SB. Yeah, I'd say we're close. Must hit again in the draft. Must get a premiere player in free agency. We must NOT hang on to Tyron and Zeke. Thats dumb. They are washed.
