Not happy with the last couple days

it absolutely was a need.
if Collins moved to OG for Fleming at T.....next off-season we're doing this dance all-over....Fleming is only here on a 1yr deal.
With Williams,I expect he'll start at OG and Collins stays at OT....Williams could also fill in at T if needed.
OG was CLEARLY a need.
Before this draft....either Collins moves over(for 1 yr) or its the winner of Marcus Martin v Chaz Green.
It could be Martin but I expect it'll be Williams.

Fleming is the swing tackle. The plan was never to move Colljns back to G. Though G was a need, it did not have to be addressed in round 2. As I stated, it is one of the easier positions to fill. Orlando Brown was sitting there at 81. My beef is when we decided to address the need not the fact we addressed it.

hard to pass up a 1st Rd talent at pick 50.
there was ALOT of chatter about Collins moving to OG....with Williams now here...probably won't happen.

cheer up that dark cloud that follows you ..never mind that dark cloud is there to stay

I have a great life. Helps to be realistic. Football fandom way down the list. I guess the last 20 plus years hasn’t provided you that dose of reality. Keep drinking that Kool Aid.

No, the plan was to keep Collins at RT, this is why the Ol struggled early last season, and only settled when Cooper came into play LG and Collins was kept at RT, they kept the their board and when it was their turn to pick at #50 Williams was top of the board.

You're complaining about taking a top 15 talent at 50 to give us one of the best OL in football. We took BPA, period. Just so happened to line up great with a position of need. Was a great pick and Brown isn't half the player Williams is

OG is one of the easier positions to fill b/c tackles can play G too. Zach Martin was a college tackle we converted to G. Collins also played tackle in college and converted to G in his first years in the NFL. The OL failed last year b/c Tyron Smith was not healthy and his back-ups didn't belong on an NFL field. So, the only OL position we desperately needed to upgrade was back-up tackle and we did that with Fleming. There was no reason to blow a premium pick on a G and add to what was already the best OL in the NFL when we had glaring needs at safety, WR, and TE. Not to mention the fact that we only have one proven pass rusher. Most contending teams have at least 2 or 3 effective pass rushers. Conner Williams is going to be a good player for years but don't sell the idea that it was "need" pick in relation to all the other spots.

If you didn't see OL as a need then you haven't been paying attention. We needed a G/OT badly. It was arguably a bigger need than LB.

I think they screwed the pooch by failing to draft OBO as long as he was available.

top 15 ? Common dude. If you want to debate, you can't make up facts and use them as proof.

So we agree on Collins. Williams was the top of their board at 50? Fine, but not a pressing need and easier to fill later in the draft.

Switzer wasn't fast enough to run the jet sweep and wasn't anything special in the return game.

I don't think he would of made the team this year anyway.

LG was the biggest need on the team. the collapsing pocket was Dak's main problem last year and guess what the people who actually know agree with that. If you don't OK.

This thread topic is just the fans way of throwing their chit in as novices. Ignorance is never content, even with perfection.
