Which is why the Packers let Favre go after 3 years so they could keep Rodgers, the Pats knew Brady was gonna keep playing and they couldn't let him go and they couldn't keep both so they traded him

They let Farve go because he was 39 years old. Did Drew Brees and Matt Stafford improve after 4 years in the league?

He never complained about the shoulder and never used it as an excuse. He missed a lot of practice time from it. From what’s been talked about an AC joint is a painful injury and even Zeke who’s had the injury said he couldn’t imagine trying to throw with it.

If he was injured he wouldn't have been cleared to play. I'm sure he was hurt and i'm sure it was a pain threshhold thing for him, which means he took a shot to play like every other QB in the league would do. He felt no pain throwing but the time off during the week missing practice would affect him a bit i'm sure

I think he looked better this year than in previous years when it came to putting up stats. But in previous years, he was better in the clutch. HE has a lot a lot of room for improvement. I think he really needs to improve presnap and in the redzone. He was mediocre in the redzone. Great qbs are really good in the redzone no matter who they play. He also needs to get more consistent with his mechanics and that'll stop him from throwing behind the receiver.

He never was really clutch. Only two comebacks from 10 points down going back to his rookie year, meaning two scores.

Those games in the past were basically 1-3 point games going into the fourth. The whole offense was basically to have Dak as a game manager, while the RG wore out the opposing defense. All Dak really has to do is not turn the ball over and make a couple plays here and there against a tired defense.

His mechanics are always what they were. If the OL is playing really well and he has time to set his feet, he throws decently. When he doesn’t have the top ranked OL in football and he starts hearing footsteps, his mechanics get really bad.

Of course he’s accountable and he’s going to take some of the blame but some are putting this season all on him. His numbers this season were outstanding in every statistical category including passer rating. Early in the season he carried this team. He’s not perfect and if you know of a QB castoff out there who is perfect let Jerry Jones know about them. We scored over 30 and 40 points in several games this season but the biggest issue with this team is coaching and the defense.

:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:. His inflated stats you mean? Half of his stats are from garbage time.

2nd of all, The only time I saw Dak put the game on his back was against the Vikes and they lost (due to playcalling and defense though) and maybe the Lions. Yes, Defense and coaching are the obvious problems with this team. But the issue at QB should NOT be ignored. Question: would you rather have Mahomes or Dak?

Mahomes.
Him being drafted where he was shows us its possible to find a generational qb in the teens as long as you have the right Guys making the decisions.

He was playing with a sore shoulder. You’ll be cleared with that but can you be affective. It was a pain issue for him and he did his best. His receivers certainly didn’t help him with all the drops. Fans who think there’s a better QB out there available who will give the Cowboys a better chance are kidding themselves.

The guy has the BEST pass blocking OL in the league and people were trying to say he had no time. Sacked the least amount of times for a QB, while leading the league in pass attempts, while being top QBs in time to throw, all the while our routes more often than not out slow developing, stretch the field types..

Any QB would love to play under the conditions Dak does..

Except for experience Drew Brees has not changed as a passer since he left the Chargers who let him go because they were just worried his shoulder wouldn't hold up. Stafford is the same QB now that he was after 4 years in the league, except for more experience and maybe the talent around him is a little better. So yes you can become better thru experience but the way you are and play as a QB isn't going to change much after 4 years in the league

Agreed. That’s why we have to take the chance in the draft. But “NoOoOoOoOo”! It’s too hard finding a QB in the draft! We’ll be doomed for years! Whatever. It doesn’t hurt to try. Worst that could happen is we miss the playoffs LIKE WE DID with Dak this year. We have to take that risks. Chiefs wouldn’t have gotten Mahomes if they didn’t realize Alex Smith was a backup at best QB.

This might be the dumbest post I've ever read here.

You might want to re-check that.

All some of you did in previous seasons is complain about his lack of production and now that he’s producing you complain that it’s inflated. lol I have other things I want to do this evening I’m done. I’ll let you and the rest continue to bash him and talk about all the castoffs you’d rather have to replace him.

Ya they did because they wanted to get to Rodgers before his rookie deal expired. Better to go with a young stud at 25 years old then a 39 year old QB. Of course Favre went on to have 3 more great years taking both the Jets and Viking to the playoffs, so for the Packers to have let him go they must have thought they had somebody great in Rodgers and they were correct.

truth be told, Daks another Alex smith. They have similar skill sets with Smith being faster running a 4.6 and Dak running a 4.78.
I also think Smith is more accurate. I just think Dak is more durable and likable. Likability being the greatest quality ruins a lot of teams and businesses. Trust me,

I complained about his lack of wins. I could care less about his yards and QBR or whatever is important to you Dak stans. I complained about his lack of clutchness. His lack of accuracy. His lack of arm. If Dak passed for 100 yards every game but lead comebacks, lead his receivers, and looked like a competent starting NFL QB, I wouldn’t care. But alas, he does not do any of the things I listed even under some of the best conditions for any QB in the NFL. He’s not elite. Get over it. He needs to take a discount, or he needs to walk. Preferably walk because I want a new QB.

How much more can he improve after 4 full years in the league? He can tinker with things here and there but he's gonna be who he is after 4 years
Other than accuracy which doesnt change much, he really really really needs to read the defense better presnap. Look at Brady and Manning. Look how much easier their jobs were just from reading the defense presnap.
