I complained about his lack of wins. I could care less about his yards and QBR or whatever is important to you Dak stans. I complained about his lack of clutchness. His lack of accuracy. His lack of arm. If Dak passed for 100 yards every game but lead comebacks, lead his receivers, and looked like a competent starting NFL QB, I wouldn’t care. But alas, he does not do any of the things I listed even under some of the best conditions for any QB in the NFL. He’s not elite. Get over it. He needs to take a discount, or he needs to walk. Preferably walk because I want a new QB.

Then start naming some available QBs out there you would rather have in place of Dak and let’s look back at their careers. Let’s see how many wins they have and how clutch they’ve been.

Other than accuracy which doesnt change much, he really really really needs to read the defense better presnap. Look at Brady and Manning. Look how much easier their jobs were just from reading the defense presnap.

That's pretty much what every QB gains after 4 years in the league. They should get better at understanding the game but their talent level as an athlete and what they can do with the football barely every changes. Infact as they start to lose their athleticism (getting older) they can maintain by having a better understanding of the game.

You are what you usually do. What does Dak usually do? He misses wide open receivers a lot. Most of his big plays are bad throws that receivers have to adjust for. He holds the ball too long and takes sacks at bad times. He chooses not to run at times when he has big lanes. These are the things he consistently does. What he occasionally does is, complete 2 or 3 accurate passes.
This!

Yes he did he tinkered every off season (i'm sure Dak does too) but fundementally he didn't change who he was as a QB
I don't think Sak's as smart as Romo. I also don't think he nitpicks himself the way Romo Did.
Romo was basically Aaron Rodgers with a average arm. On short and intermediate passes, they're the same guy.

Trade for Mahomes. Or draft. I assure you they will win more and be more clutch than Dak. Dak is what he is. A 4th round pick. He’s trying to fight that stigma, but it’s what he is. Sorry.

Mahomes.
Him being drafted where he was shows us its possible to find a generational qb in the teens as long as you have the right Guys making the decisions.

If Mahommes was playing under JG, certain fans would be all over him like the Dak haters are with Dak.

Get real! Name some “available” QBs that you would rather have over Dak? You actually want to use the 17th pick or lower on a QB next April? Drafting a QB is an absolute crap shoot especially once you get past the top 10. QB is far from a problem with this team. That position isn’t what’s holding us back.

Mahomes was picked at 10. Watson at 12. Brady in the 6th round. Wilson in the 3rd. Rodgers I forgot but t was a later round. It’s perfectly reasonable and profound to get a QB at 17 in the first round. QB is a problem. Maybe not a #1 problem, but definitely in the top 5 or 6 problems behind coaching, defense, and special teams.

I’m tired of this “drafting is a crapshoot” narrative. Did that stop the Chiefs from overthrowing Alex Smith to get Mahomes? Nope. Did it stop the Texans from getting Watson? No. Did it stop the Ravens from getting Jackson? No. Need I continue? Teams take RISKS. Risks PAY OFF majority of the time. Dallas must’ve really gotten into your head because you’re settling for mediocrity just like Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett. Yes, I want to use our first round pick on a QB and save the rest for defense. Get a new punter in FA or a undrafted rookie.

Edit: do not rule out trading. It may take a lot, but I say we attempt to make a trade for Mahomes. He’s cheap right now and has a good mentality and his an amazing QB with a high ceiling.
