Not popular but offense needs to spend premium resource on Reggie Bush type player

Whether it be a top 3 round draft pick or someone that's out there in FA, after watching some Lions tape, it's apparent that we need to get a more stable version of Dunbar. Between his injuries and fumbling issues, I don't think he can be counted on.

Watching Reggie Bush in the Lions offense makes that system very difficult to stop. I think it'd really help free up the TE's since linebackers and safeties would have to account for our backfield on pass plays.

Everyone has been talking about getting another 1B type receiver opposite Dez, and I think Kelvin Benjamin would be great, BUT if not him, then give me a Reggie Bush/Tavon Austin type guy.

I don't want a 6'1, 195 WR. Terrence Williams gives us that and even more so.. We need a MONSTER either coming out of the backfield or the guy out wide.

Why even bother? Ivy league and the castaways have more than enough to get it done. Dont spend a premium on a player who will be excess to requirements this time next year when the losers are circling around the sewage plant.

No. The more time we continue to waste premium resources on role players, the more we will continue to be mediocre.

We wasted a first round choice on Felix Jones to be the "change of pace". No, no, no.

It is okay to look for that type of player later in the draft or even hope for Dunbar. I can think of a couple that could have potential, but will be available late in the draft.

But even a literal Reggie Bush clone, right now, in this draft, would be a waste of a top choice.

If we are getting one because we think Linehan needs it, we are doing it wrong. Again.

I know he's not a burner but DeMarco Murray must be accounted for in coverage. It's not like the guy is a poor receiver.

Agree... Murray had a solid yr catching and running the ball..Other holes more pressing on this team

People keep forgetting about this guy. Yes I know he needs to be healthy but we saw how productive he can be.

He's also fumbled when healthy. Outside the Raiders game, he hasn't shown the ability to be consistent

They would have to find a guy like that in the draft or wait a couple years, there is no money to sign a guy like Woodhead, Bush or Sproles.

The change in play caller does not mean a change in offensive system. It's still Garrett's plays so expect to hear "kill kill kill" at the 5-8 second mark on the play clock once again this year with very little creativity and a heavy does of predictability. It's useless looking at Detroit personnel. Not sure what Jones/Garrett are up to outside of the usual incompetence with all these moves but it's highly likely the offense will look identical.

They dont even know how to utilize what they have now, Murray can make you pay outta the backfield and in the air...a player like this would add NOTHING....we dont need anything on offense besides lineman (or a QB if a good one falls later)...after the defensive side is addressed.

Oh injury and fumble issues are holding Dunbar back? That sounds just like reggae bush.
