u have no idea about how NC's judicial system works. ...

All charges were dropped before his only real trial ever began.
Mate, you mentioned the sacred Constitution. Then you swivel to NC law.
You do know that the document and NC law are very different things. Right, bloke?????? Right?????
Tell me you doo, doo, doo...

I weep for your miseducation.

By the way, public defender, you might be acquainted with an axiom of law. It states, null vadis quidum and you have no earthly idea.
Now go back to your civics primer with confidence and some humility, barrister!!!!!

Still whining huh, just give it up....so you bought the hype, no one is perfect. He was cleared of all charges, really look it up. Record expunged too. If you understood the facts you might quit spinning your baseless drivel...lol

Hardy's market will most likely be very small and even then i doubt he gets any very serious offers for big money. Jerry laid all the work to bring him back this season by always being in his corner when media attacked him. I doubt his salary reaches 8 figures but if it does, i doubt he gets a large sum of guaranteed money. D law, Crawford, and Gregory all benefit from having him lining up all over the line not to mention i still don't think Gregory can last all year as our main option at right end. He is still too light to take the majority of snaps and i still think he needs to play in the Bruce Irving pass rush specialist role. Could this possibly hinder our chances at bringing him back for a 2nd contract? Maybe but we have a small window to get that 6th Vince Lombardi trophy so lets not pass the chance at getting an elite player for cheap at a position of high importance.

Caps isn't quite loud enough, you should also use larger fonts with those caps, it almost triples your chances of being correct. If that doesn't work, then the next move should be to call the person names whom you disagree with. Heck, if the internet was around in 1492 you probably could have convinced Columbus to skip the trip to America with those methods, OF COURSE THE WORLD IS FLAT, YOU BLOKE!
Wow, now I'm almost convinced! When an expungement is granted, the person whose record is expunged may, for most purposes, treat the event as if it never occurred.

Back to the OP, like most here, the reasonable thing is to ask for a reasonable contract. I would actually prefer a 2 or 3 year deal, laden with incentives. This gives Hardy a chance to make money if he performs and leave a little time on the clock for him to get a much larger payday if he proves himself as returning to double digit for over the next couple of years. This also gives the Cowboys a chance to evaluate our younger talent "Gregory/Lawrence" and see if they can consistently produce moving forward.

I repeat, I shall be scrappy and with moxie if you persist in ill-conceived attacks!
If you play with fire then we shall all burn our fingers!

And the word is not "convince."
It is (take notes) persuade.

First rule- when you find yourself in a hole stop digging. You keep borrowing more shovels.

Bench Trials in NC are akin to Non-binding Arbitration. If you are happy with the outcome it is over. If you are not satisfied it is immediately vacated on appeal. It shouldn't be confused with an appeal in other jurisdictions that look for procedural error to see if a conviction stands. The Bench trial verdict has absolutely NO STANDING and is rendered meaningless. This happens in every case, it is forgotten before the Defendant leaves the building. That is why they don't even keep transcripts.

This "appeal" is a brand new trial with another arraignment and a full jury of ones peers and all the fixins of a Constitutionally protected judicial system. They even have Court Reporters and you are allowed full discovery and cross examination rights.

Hardy was not even brought to trial. All the charges were dropped and his arrest record was expunged. If you want to draw conclusions about guilty or innocence or settlements or whatever that is your right. You do not have the right to make up your own facts.

That is all.

LOL. Oh, mum's not fair game, lad. (I am sorry to say that the amputation is not going well. Well, we shall all hope for the best! I will send your best wishes.)

Again: Shame for enabling and cheering for abuse.
