Carlin needs to give it up or redo his act. He just rehases the same jokes every couple of years and does a new hbo special.

I have also seen Joe Rogan. Great show. If he is ever in your town, go see him. Laughed until it hurt.

Rogan is quite funny.

Menstealia on the other hand is what I call 'lowest common denominator' humor.

"Dee-dee-dee, I want my show to be racially edgy like the Chapelle show, but in the end I fail miserably. Dee-dee-dee".

I'll uhhh, respectfully disagree...

Saw Rogan in LA, when he was clearly high from something... bloodshot eyes, etc.

He insulted every single person in the Comedy Store that night, and not the type of insults you expect at a comedy show. Like Michael Richards insults...

Funny story from that though. The crowd was slowly dwindling out of the club when I asked our waitress if Rogan was gonna be on all night (there were acts scheduled after him). Apparently the rest of the comics left after he started driving people away.

But the waitress told me that Eddie Griffin was pulling up in his limo and was gonna do a quick set to try to save the night. First thing Eddie says to the audience is... "You guys look like you were in a gunfight... and lost."

He went on to say comics have bad nights and take it out on the audience, and I understand that, but still... I've watched Rogan on sets on TV, and I can't laugh at him.

I always find it amusing when someone proclaims such-n-such horrendous, and anyone that likes s-n-s stereotypical, then mentions bigotry or hypocrite in the same thought. Kind of gives one of those double-take, huh?, moments.

I've only seen Rogan's stand up once. I got a few laughs out of it, but it wasn't anything special. Honestly, I don't find either of these clowns particularly amuzing, but I do respect what Rogan's doing here. If Mencia is as guilty of these accusations as he seems, he should be called on it IMO.

Best thing Joe Rogan did for me was Newsradio. Phil Hartman was the man.

How was Eddie Griffin?

Oh I LOVED NewsRadio. Not because of Rogan so much as Hartman, like you said. That's the main reason I went to see Rogan though.

Griffin was good. But my opinion of him was probably affected by how bad Rogan was. I didn't get to stay for the whole set. Some of my group had already left, and were sitting in the car outside. My brother and I stayed inside the club for about 30-45 after they left. I thought they had probably set in the car long enough, so we took off.

Im Mexican and I can honestly say he is way overrated His jokes are horrible.

My wife and father-in-law are both Mexican, and they find him pretty funny. I find him humorous as well. I'm not sure about the whole joke stealing thing, and how much of it is going on. I'm pretty sure they all steal at least a little from each other though.

Kinda like Larry too, though more from when he called into a local radio station (which happened a lot). He wasn't as funny on blue collar comedy tour and other specials I've seen.

I just enjoy laughing. The only comedian I can honestly say I never cared for was Andrew "Dice" Clay, and I have never felt the need to bash him for what he does or how he does it. To each his own, but I find this vitriol over a comic and some jokes to be pretty lame.

o rly?

What are your thoughts on his nemesis, Sam Kinnison?

Keep in mind that your response will most likely be observed, chopped to shreds and WILL be used against you.:p:

Kinison was Don Rickles on steroids... perhaps the funniest of the "belligerent" comics I've ever seen...

Mencia is a very good performer. He delivers "his" material very well.

But since his egregious stealing of other comics' material has come to light, it is absolutely impossible for me to watch him without wishing some serious ill-will upon him. No matter what you think of Joe Rogan as a comedian (personally, I am a big fan...not of his stand-up but for his great color commentary on the UFC), you have to respect the fact that he is standing up to someone that dwarfs him in the comedy world. Mencia's farce of a career needs to be derailed, and he needs to be made an example of in the industry. People who make their way in the world mooching off of others' hard work make me sick, and seeing Mencia fall flat on his face would certainly put a smile on my face.
