Dak worked with Tom Shaw to improve his core so he could put more zip on the ball. It looks like it worked.
erod...wow yes it does...he has noticeable zip on his throws and his release is faster too

We should all be thanking the football God that we didn't draft Conner Cook!

I don't know why other teams and the Cowboys were so high on this guy. He was a bum in college and he was going to be a bum in the NFL. All you had to do was watch his last 2 games vs Iowa and Alabama. #Bum

When word started to leak that Cowboys liked both Conner and Dak, I was all for Dak over Conner, even though I wasn't completely sold on Dak.
yes i am glad raiders jumped us for Cook in draft...we wanted Paxton Lynch and others way before Dak..he fell into our lap..it was not our superior understanding of his potential

Dak's pass to Witten for the TD was beautiful. Plenty of zip, and the lead was perfect.
Yep, this one noticeably stood out to me. He threw that one on a rope in a very tight window and it looked effortless for him. I love it!

Another reason the Zeke suspension doesn't have me too bummed out anymore. I'm not trying to belittle Zeke, but this team is only going as far as Dak will take them. And this kid is so mentally and physically cued in, it's like he was born to win.

His mom was a huge part of the way he is and I LOVE the way he always gives her credit. The guy is truly humble.....

Yeah, Dak's hands are even larger than Brett Favre's, Drew Brees' or Russell Wilson's.:omg:
Brady has huge hand as well, but he's one of the few that doesn't have it registered.
Good company for Dak in any case.

Paxton Lynch's hands dwarf all of them that are registered.
Not that its helped him so far:muttley:

According to this link....Lynch's are 10.25 and Dak's are 10.88. Cody Kessler also was at 10.88.

dear members---my eyes were not playing tricks on me...this whole off season i have been worried about what i saw as a lack of velocity on Daks throws and what appeared as a slower release...but after last night i can see the ball had noticeable more velocity and his release noticeably quicker...wow i am both a little surprised He could have fixed those issues in a few short months but he did...and this makes me very happy...there will be no sophmore slump
I definitely see a difference

The offensive coaches stood on the table for him.

His arm strength has never been a problem - my chief complaint for him coming out of college was his footwork.

He's fixed it in spades and is throwing with his core and leg strength now and not throwing flat-footed. Dez Bryant walks in for 6 last night if the DB doesn't tackle him before the ball arrives on that deep ball, and at a minimum Dez lays out for the catch.
I mean guys...these throws. If he's hitting throws like this on a regular basis -- RIP when you try to cover outside of the numbers.

and this is really without the threat of Zeke!! This guy is GOOD folks.

Those throws are sexy.

Okay my assessment on Dak's velocity. I thought he was throwing missile's out there Saturday. There was one play where he was slightly in trouble, took a step right and rifled a pass to the TE or RB, I can't remember. I have no clue how this year is going to go because it seems like Jason Garrett type teams always have problems with untimely penalties, but I just think that Dak may be in another league this year.
