That was a horrific offensive showing in Miami. The team under Garrett continues to have zero identity even given pieces with which to forge one.

If the Offensive Line plays like that- it's a wrap. It played very well against Baltimore (some run-blocking issues) but Romo had plenty of time to throw it around and there were occasional gashes in the run game which gave encouragement that the offense would be fine as a whole.

Now I'm seeing Tyron and Free regress, the running game can't get push and Tony is on his back 4x in the first half. What is up with Tyron? He inks a 100M dollar deal to simply push back for one or two seconds on his matchup or grab and tug sideways?? No sir- that won't get it done. All the manhandling of opponents happens in our TC and not on the field against opposition it seems so far. Break someone else's ankle ffs.

I know there's little preparation for pre-season games but this looks like the same garbage we've seen for umpteen years. When will this team decide it wants to win ballgames? Penalty after Penalty after Penalty.

I'm putting this season on Garrett personally. This team shows life early or he's gone. I don't care about how shorthanded this defense is. It's his side of the ball (you know- the one where he's taken a step back and down so he couldn't screw up any further) that shows the most inconsistency in terms of performance week to week.

We know the defense is going to stink to high heaven, but this offense better be humming given the weapons and talent acquisition on that side of the football. If we lose ten games it better be because the other team scored 40 to our 30 each week. I'm so sick of Redball I want to puke even if it is the pre-season. This entire team needs a good punch in the face before SF, and hopefully this was it.

Cameron Wake is one of the best pass rushers in the league. Hopefully it will be a learning experience for Tyron and he will get better from it.

How many years does JG have to run the offense with pretty much the same core group of players before they start to run the offense efficiently? 1 rookie, 2 second year players and the rest have been running this scheme for a while now, yet it is the same sloppy, penalty ridden team we see every year. I get there will be physical battles lost, but all the same mental mistakes over and over, year after year are a whole other story.

Unfathomable, the penalty situations... formation, false starts, holds, any and all flag options to keep the offense out of the endzone it has the talent to visit and re-visit with relative ease! How can this happen EVERY damn game. How.

I got news for you...Miami is going to be better than you think. On positive side, Dan Bailey hits from 52, 50 so if you play fantasy...you know what to do there.

Is Garrett protecting Romo? Maybe the offense is limited due to his gimpy back. Afterall, we can't afford to see our mid 30's QB have a 3rd back surgery....

Im not worried at all, this offense has always scored points even when it didnt look like we could in preseason. Again its preseason and really the first extended time the offense starters played together. Rather have rust now then in week 1.

Refs seem to bail Miami out numerous times tonight. I saw way too many questionable calls go against Dallas and it was one sided. Miami didnt get a penalty until 4 minutes left in the first half. The block punt penalty was way off. Two fumbles that Dallas recovered was also overturned with questionable calls to bail out Miami. Recently in the regular season we have done better with penalties, refs in the preseason are throwing flags just to throw. I seen Miami holding our players numerous times with no calls until 4th quarter

Put your sirens away. It's pre-season. There is no game plan. It's like practice with the intent to score. You practice different set ups and test young talent in different set ups. Don't panic yet. Not that I expect us to be SB bound by any means but, I wouldn't take too much away from pre season other than, our defense is still awful.

The offense looked pretty bad. The sad part is that's where we've chosen to invest our resources under Garrett and it's supposed to be our strength. We may as well have used those picks on the front seven of the defense.

Ugh, it's amazing how fans can watch football for several years and still put stock into these exhibition games.

I must admit I'm concerned too, but it's preseason. I wish Romo would leave the pocket sometimes and stop holding the ball so long. The OL looks a lot better when the QB gets rid of the ball quickly. I thought Williams looked like he could be a great closer for late games when we have the lead. Then he got hurt. The question is will we ever have the lead.

I was shocked about the OL but maybe I shouldn't have been. One thing I learned under Garrett is rarely does all aspects of the Cowboys play well at the same time. The defense although they weren't that great did create turnovers and held the starters to 3 points. When the defense plays like that, the offense usually struggles. When the defense plays awful the offense is great. When you have a 20 point lead, both break down.
