How does this do that?I'm aware Jerry will probably find a way to foul it up, but, if it can at least get us to an NFCC game or better, I'll take it lol

Eh,Well, now I'm happy!!! I love the trades today!!! Oh my goodness!!!! I can't believe we got Williams!!! And the value was actually good!!! I'm super stoked by this move!!!! Wooooooooooooooooow!!!! And we got a bit more LB depth!! I am still in shock as I write this thread!!!
Clark, Eze, Williams, and Clowney (and/or probably a rookie in 2026), that is a LETHAL front 4!!!! I love this!!!!!! And I love that we got Wilson!!!! Seriously!! After last night, I couldn't be happier with this move. I know we might not make it work this year, but next year? If our offense can get back to basics as opposed to having to worry about our defence too? We might have something brewing!!!! Let's goooooooooooooooooooo!!! *Neighs excitedly*
Wait, this is a win for us right? We got 3 veteran players with two being solid and one all pro.. plus picked up an additiona 1st rd pickBasically this is the results.
Dallas gets
Williams, Clark, GB 2026 1st round pick
Logan Wilson
Gives up
Parsons, GB 2027 1st pick, a 2026 2nd round pick
and Mazi, a not so good 1st round pick.
2026 7th round pick
I think Jerry panicked. Time will tell though.
Since our Cowboys kept their two 1st round picks for next year's draft (2026), that gives the Cowboys two good draft picks in the 1st round for next year's draft. We still need CB/S help, rusty.
And remember, we still have Eberflus.. lol

The Ohio State safety (Caleb Downs: 6'0", 205 lbs, 4.45 40 time) is ranked to be the #1 safety taken in next year's draft, so he might be available with the Cowboys early 1st round pick.

Or, the Cowboys can trade down their second 1st round pick (Packers) for a 2nd and either late 3rd or 4th round picks. Then use that 2nd round pick on the safety from Penn State (Zakee Wheatley: 6'2", 200 lbs, 4.40 40 time) who can do it all at either safety positions, plus play slot CB on certain defensive packages. He has bigger size and is faster than Caleb Downs but is as aggressive.

Zakee Wheatley might be the better choice to go after without having to use a 1st round pick on (save next year's 1st round pick for either a difference maker at Edge/DE, LB or CB).

Williams comes regarded as the best dt in football other than Chris Jones of the chiefs. I think we stole him. Top notch elite dts dont grow on trees. Think about it...now we have williams AND clark. Move osa out to end where he's better. We should feast with our edge guys now. The dline is transformed. Which helps the back 7.
Extend Williams NOW! Do not risk losing him in 2 years. He is an elite player. Requires double teams.
…again….I think they overpaid.
Well we got two first rounders from the packers. No, there is a first in there that was given up as well. Whichever is the higher pick next year between the GB or DAL pick goes to the Jets.
I think you gotta try to trade Osa. Or definitely restructure him. Some are saying you wouldn't trade for Hendrickson but some thought that was bigger need that IDL,
Would you have given up what the Cowboys gave up for Q.Williams would you have rather had Hendrickson? It might have taken less just like a 1 and they could have thrown Sam Williams , in Would you rather have Hendrickson for that ,or Q.Williams for what the Cowboys gave up for him? So you could have probably got Hendrickson for less Which would you have chosen if that was the choice I mean they had to give up a lot more for Williams and I haven't been paying attention to Williams career but man a 1 and a 2 and Mazi...hmm
I mean somebody all say Hendrickson's long in the tooth and older but in my opinion, I think we're going to be fine on edge they looked a lot better last night they've been looking better they've gotten a lot more pressures we can get one of those in the draft was it better they addressed linebacker and interior D line?
I'm not sure who the odd man out is or are they going to keep Osa, Clark ,and Williams maybe restructure Osa and Clark make it fit better is that what this Team has finally got something in the middle?
Say we make the playoffs next year and so do the Packers, then we kinda made out because that's a really late first round pick either way.
We got fleeced all around.

Almost like Williams for two seconds..

The addition of one player probably only barely moves the needle for defense. If we can get a healthy overshown as well...might help. Our secondary is still atrocious.Because our offense was playing almost elite football until they had to start overcompensating for our defence. For the rest of this season, we have Eze, Q, Clark, and Clowney as our starting front 4 with Overshown likely returning soon. That's a better front 4 than how we started this season. If it can help us stop the run and get after the QB, and I think it will, that's already better. Get after the QB, and your secondary has an easier job. Additionally, I think Logan Wilson gives us a nice upgrade at LB.
Then, next year, we can draft a LB and a safety, and, especially if Overshown is back to full health, we would have an improved roster on defence. That makes us better because our defence should at least be decent compared to this year, meaning our offense can get back to how they were playing earlier this season. That means that we won't need to press as much, and it should balance things out better.

I get it lots of players and Matt in this defensive staff are fighting for their jobs this is their eight game evaluation They can play freely with many different options and you're not remembering Revel as well Maybe even Butler he'll have a lot more to play with now he'll have no excuse going down the stretch as an 8 game interview..Let's not forget we have Overshown. Honestly, this clogs up the middle of our dline nicely and gives us a fighting chance of having a defence that may not be recognisable in 2026 compared to how we started this year.
