If we signed parsons, we have mazi and osa plugging the middle with our normal draft picks. Our cap space would be limited and would not be able to sign anybody to help this porous defense out… and yes it would still be just as bad with parsons.

For the rest of this season, we have Eze, Q, Clark, and Clowney as our starting front 4 with Overshown likely returning soon. That's a better front 4 than how we started this season. If it can help us stop the run and get after the QB, and I think it will, that's already better. Get after the QB, and your secondary has an easier job. Additionally, I think Logan Wilson gives us a nice upgrade at LB.

Then, next year, we can draft a LB and a safety, and, especially if Overshown is back to full health, we would have an improved roster on defence. That makes us better because our defence should at least be decent compared to this year, meaning our offense can get back to how they were playing earlier this season. That means that we won't need to press as much, and it should balance things out better.

Exactly, and then getting Logan Wilson was a cherry on top. If Overshown can get back to full form and stay healthy and we draft a linebacker early, our defence should be significantly better. That combined with our offense makes us a potential contender in 2026.

Would you have given up what the Cowboys gave up for Q.Williams would you have rather had Hendrickson? It might have taken less just like a 1 and they could have thrown Sam Williams , in Would you rather have Hendrickson for that ,or Q.Williams for what the Cowboys gave up for him? Well, and that's part of what I'm thinking. I think the goal of this trade should be to make us a contender in 2026. If we play this right and if our offense can be elite next year like it was most of this year so far, we might be a legit contender.

The addition of one player probably only barely moves the needle for defense. If we can get a healthy overshown as well...might help. Our secondary is still atrocious.

I mean, if Q is able to be take double teams like he did with the Jets, it should open up more blitzes. Bland is still a decent CB and we get Revel back soon. If we can get after the QB more, then the secondary would naturally be able to play better because the QB would have less time to read the defence. At the very least, the onus is now on Eberflus to get this defence fixed or trending the right way. Now, we have an opportunity to see where the flaws really are since our pass rush and run stopping should be better.

Let's not forget we have Overshown. Honestly, this clogs up the middle of our dline nicely and gives us a fighting chance of having a defence that may not be recognisable in 2026 compared to how we started this year.

I get it lots of players and Matt in this defensive staff are fighting for their jobs this is their eight game evaluation They can play freely with many different options and you're not remembering Revel as well Maybe even Butler he'll have a lot more to play with now he'll have no excuse going down the stretch as an 8 game interview..


Do not want to hear tanking from this group I know we probably don't have a shot at the division or the playoffs but we can play spoiler we can play well we can at least play with some pride we can use this as an experiment They can do whatever they need to do every game because whatever's been working up to this point it's not working so why not just play freely and mix in whoever you want whether you want to see Donovan Wilson or Malik Hooker and these guys back in the mix a little bit maybe even digs the last four games of the season we need to see who stays and who goes what works and what doesn't for eight games and I want to play spoiler I want to ruin some other teams seasons with some upsets
