Would you have given up what the Cowboys gave up for Q.Williams would you have rather had Hendrickson? It might have taken less just like a 1 and they could have thrown Sam Williams , in Would you rather have Hendrickson for that ,or Q.Williams for what the Cowboys gave up for him? So you could have probably got Hendrickson for less Which would you have chosen if that was the choice I mean they had to give up a lot more for Williams and I haven't been paying attention to Williams career but man a 1 and a 2 and Mazi...hmm

I mean somebody all say Hendrickson's long in the tooth and older but in my opinion, I think we're going to be fine on edge they looked a lot better last night they've been looking better they've gotten a lot more pressures we can get one of those in the draft was it better they addressed linebacker and interior D line?

I'm not sure who the odd man out is or are they going to keep Osa, Clark ,and Williams maybe restructure Osa and Clark make it fit better is that what this Team has finally got something in the middle?

exactly right. About half the fan base has forgotten about last night's disaster and they are right back on the Jerry Express. He's getting nibbles all over the place. It's really amazing the power he has over a good chunk of Cowboys fans.

This kind of stuff should have been done in March. Pickens and J Williams were a start but we left the defense hanging and drug the dispute out with Parsons too long. Should have traded Parsons in March and used that draft capital to build the defense through trades or draft. Jerry overrated our DEs. He thought we could go DE by committee. Eze is coming along but the rest of the DEs are pretty much rotational guys. Kneeland being out injured hasn’t helped but it’s not like he is a difference maker.

Forget those last two lines. They don't matter. 1st round picks cancel each other out.

So it basically boils down to Parsons and a 2nd for Williams, Clark and Wilson. That's a tough call. But keep in mind, they don't have to pay Parsons also which also has to be considered. Money they can use to sign their own and go get a couple decent players.

I actually think he's pretty good given the ***** up scheme he's in and the lack of help up there whenever they bring an extra guy in the box and now if we bring in a guy like Williams in the middle he will help funnel some of those out to them just like you would see Parsons get This is just a bad scheme it doesn't help them I think easy he's been getting more and more pressures every week he's getting to the quarterback more and he got held a bunch and I know we had to go through this with Parsons He got held a bunch yesterday He's affecting that edge a lot more every week that's what you want from your rookie I don't call him average at all I see a lot of upside I think he is our future starter there and the rest of this year he should start every game But now you improved your interior That should help him..

That's what I would do going into next year that's my idea and I'm sticking to it easy E is going to be a really good starting defensive end especially where we picked him I mean you got a guy like what was his name Young Houston picked way high in the first have you looked at Abdul Carter's numbers,

i'm just trying to keep your expectations down there's a lot of pass rushers that were picked ahead of this kid and they're not doing much better..

Sometimes it takes development. But I see it I see the upside it's not fake upside this is not Sam Williams or Gregory you can see this kid getting better every game even at the detriment of being in a bad scheme..

Why don't you go do a search on where he stacks up on the other pass rushers taking in this last draft all the rookies he's right near the top in pressures He has more sacks than Abdul Carter right now in a much worse defense especially the defensive line he's not getting any help....

Come on man that's not what's happening here we we get to at least get a little flash forward of what it might look like will we see at least weekly improvement with some of these players added not just Logan not just Williams, but we get Revel back Eventually Butler but overshown next to Logan..

Isn't this a better picture that gives us a little bit of hope for next year that's what we want to see that's exactly what I want to see I want to see the young players improve but I also want to see these new players and the ones that are just coming off IR give a little boost to the defense....

I say they need to go get Simmons the free safety hybrid linebacker off free agent bucket to add to this that pretty much it very least Put some gorilla tape on some of these holes that we have on defense right now..

I'm not counting out digs not coming back as soon as he's eligible to come off IR if he's healthy I mean if he's not traded here in the next hour he's still ours for the rest of the year and why not use him I mean II could see this defense at least showing some improvement and that's all I want to see a snapshot of what it possibly could look like next year...


That's all we have hope for right I mean the rest of this year is is probably over...

After the bye we should have Revel CB, Overshown LB and Butler CB back and hopefully starting along with Wilson LB and Williams DT. That should make the D much better. Will it be enough to make a run? Maybe but a lot of other things need to happen also.

Overshown and Williams along with Wilson should help with run stopping along with generating more pressure on the QB. Getting a Safety would definitely help.

It does set up well for next year if we can get a Safety in free agency.

Depending on where we draft in the 1st, we could alot of ways even possibly trade down with one of the picks to acquire a 2nd and 3rd. At least thing are looking up.

Sign a starting outside CB
Sign a starting outside LB
Sign a good starting S
Use the 1st Rd picks on impact players

Imagine if we can draft a top pass rusher and Linebacker in round 1? My goodness, we might not even recognise this defence next season.

Am I supposed to be miserable about the Cowboys 24/7? And this actually gives us a chance to have an elite defence next year. Hard to deny that a dline of Eze, Williams, Clark, and Clowney/a fully healthy Overshown/high draft pick pass rusher is a MUCH better dline than we had before.
