I think the difference is that against bad teams our talent advantage carries us. But when we face teams where the talent is equal, then the other factors like scheme and coaching make the difference. That’s where I think Moore and his old scheme and play calling put us at the disadvantage. Throw in a Dak mistake or two and we’re sitting at home instead of playing this weekend.

That's another way to say it. It just boils down to against some teams, you can't get by on just having better talent because they have just as much or better talent.

An example of this that I can think of is New England, when it was a dynasty. The Patriots' just wore defenses out with rub routes, which allowed them to not always have to have a fantastic receiving corps to win. They used more rub routes at times when they needed them.

Some teams do a fantastic job of using the screen game when they need it. Loved Parcells' "Jap plays" as well. When he needed it, he'd pull something out of his bag like the play where the tight end would go to the ground faking a block on a fake run to one side then get back up and be wide open for a throw back to him.

They both are to blame honestly, Moore doesn't put Dak in the right spots and situations knowing his limitations (35 plus passes) and Dak doesn't read through progressions accurately and fast enough. Boom neither one sucks but they both can go

II’ll be surprised if Kellen Moore is brought back. The arrows seem to be pointing in the direction of him being gone. The 2023 season is going to be critical for Dak and I believe the Cowboys want a new OC working with him. If bringing in a new OC doesn’t straighten out his game then they’re going to start taking a closer look at him.

Because that's just looking at stat numbers without looking at the overall picture. Who were the numbers racked up against? What defenses did they face? Were they consistently good against all defenses or did a majority of those numbers come against a few teams? The numbers were more skewed. Against playoff caliber and almost playoff caliber defenses, how well did this offense do?

Even if you rack up points and yards against sucky teams, how did that help in the playoffs? Did it get a SB?

Almost every fan on the site, Dak fans and non-Dak fans, have called for a new OC ever since he took over.
Why those who don’t like Dak would suddenly change their tune and support Kellen Moore is beyond me.

I’ve seen just about every poster in this thread defending Moore and saying he’s the scapegoat also say Moore sucks as a play caller this very season.

You know it’s okay to not like Dak and want a new OC who might run a modern offense. You can still dislike Dak. This offense, run by Garrett, Linehan, and now Moore, has been near the top of all offenses in every tenure with better receivers, a better run game, and Romo and Dak…..during the regular season. This offense has been shut down in the playoffs against good defenses under all three OCs and both QBs. Moore knows no other NFL system, so if we want a different system, it comes with a new coordinator. That’s not scapegoating anyone.

Exactly............in fact, all the folks that dont like Dak and want him gone should be applauding a new OC.

Why?

Because if Dak still sucks under a completely new OC running a new scheme and new plays, then it proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Dak is the problem.

So if you dont like Dak, you should really, really, really want a new OC so you can be proven right.
