O-LIne Reclamation Project Part Two?

our current OLine makes others look pretty good....I liked this guy (didn't love him) in college...I say if cost-effective, why not?

Worked out with Jonathan Cooper. Should Cowboys take another shot?

Low cost, low risk.

6-5/332, only 25 years old

The Cowboys are a good spot if he wants a chance to recover his career.

He might be lazy but the Cowboys OLinemen would not tolerate any nonsense.

He just turned 25 and he had incredible physical ability in college.

Everyone keeps harping on his physical ability. To me his record is the classic case of someone who NEVER had to work hard and does not know how; and more than that does not seem to WANT TO WORK HARD.

PASS

We took a semi failed LT with similar size and made him a pretty good guard for us. I'd like to try that again.

this is 100% true.

from the start, Jonathan Cooper saw & said this about the Oline: that they work VERY hard and he basically recognized that he'd have to step up to keep up.

I think Cooper also recognized that if he worked hard, those other guys would work with him and be there for him. He bought into the system quick.

The only player I could possibly see Dallas cutting to make room Robinson wuld be Byron Bell.

Is Greg Robinson better than Byron Bell? Bell has time in ths system and knows what's expected of him... Robinson would be at square one.

Probably not worth it right now but if he's there in offseason, may be worth kicking the tires on him b/c he is just 25yrs old

The guy is a sloth. A big guy who just cannot play. Pass.

Did somebody say “sloth?”

Robinson sucks. I mean he makes Chaz Green like an all pro
Hmmm, the knock on Chaz is not his performance, when he is on the field he is an NFL caliber player. The issue is he cannot stay on the field he gets a hang nail, dirt in his eye or something else and is out for weeks.

It never hurts to "kick the tires" on someone who has displayed potential in the past, although nothing in his past pro career indicates that this is so. Signing someone solely based upon what they did in college is a slippery slope to tread upon. Hopefully, the team that allows him a tryout won't do so with visions of a miracle turnaround in mind. Having the lowest rating around as a pro tackle isn't anything to completely ignore. Buyer beware. Hopefully, the Cowboys would make sure to see something special in him before signing him to anything other than a very cheap contract.
