False, Mo has not done anything close to what Jenkins did in Dallas yet. Claiborne should be a lot better by now and he seems to be regressing.

Yeah...I'm really perplexed about Mo? I thought the dude was supposed to be a shut down corner? He is far from it and he seem to get injured a lot. But, even when he does play, I don't see much good that he does, either that or I am missing something?

I think the main problem with Jenkins was his slight build and his inconsistency. His shoulder was jacked up too often and in when you're talking multi-million dollar commitments for an inconsistent and oft-injured player that can't tackle because of his shoulders it's really not that hard of a decision. It's too bad because he flashed some good stuff,,, every now and then.

Mo? I have no idea... it's 3 years now and I haven't seen anything resembling what I thought the team was all excited about. Are they using him correctly? I don't know, but he sure as heck isn't a game changer the way it's going now. I blame Jerry for changing schemes constantly and screwing up the roster.

Jenkins other than his second year and Mo right now are almost the exact same player. Jenkins might have been a bit better in coverage.

Idk, people say Jenkins was tough for playing through injuries or w/e, I still think he's a pansy after getting out of the way of whoever that ball carrier was against the giants.

And there's this...http://i151.***BLOCKED***/albums/s147/mvalvan1/jenks.jpg

I

Well i've seen 3rd and 4th stringers not be attacked by us so I wouldn't say we're off the hook but yea it sure does have to benefit us not having Jenkins out there. But there's always that hungry backup that's waiting for his shot. We've seen a lot of them on our defensive line this year lol.

lol for real

Aint Jenkins the guy that jumped out of the way of the RB in that Green Bay blowout game that got Wade fired? Didnt Collinsworth say something like "thats just spitting in Wade's face" or something like that?

I have seen 9 yr old girls playing soccer with more balls than him.

Mike just got a concussion. The NFL isn't gonna let him play that fast....

I believe Shady McCoy suffered a concussion the week before the Eagles played us and he started the game.

We're talking about the Cowboys here. Improbable suddenly becomes probable and unlikely becomes a sure thing.

He lost favor from the Cowboys because he did not want to rehab at Valley Ranch. IMO

He wanted to be in Florida and not with the team.

Perhaps that was it - seems like a short-sighted reason to trader a first and second round pick for CB that hasn't flashed. (Note even if Morris had turned into the 2nd coming of Deion I would have been against the trade)

Yeah...Mo has not really showed up given his draft status...

Do people forget how crappy this guy was? He was Mo, basically.

I think you may be forgetting - this guy played out of his mind his 2nd year and then was hurt...but he was playing with the best CBs in the league the 2nd half of that year. Whatever he's not with the team anymore, but I liked the attitude he played with his last year - showed insane toughness.

I hope Mo at least gets to that - only concern is he hasn't really "flashed" once that I can recall. Coupled with his lack of top-end speed, I hope its a technique thing he can master to reach what many saw in him.

Yeah, I'm not trying to bash anyone or any coach or anything like that - just liked Jenkins and seemed like he was treated strangely compared to what he showed on the field playing through that injury. I still don't get it...I would love to have had him and Scandrick. I realize they were worried about his shoulder going into the year, but the Carr money (and I really like Carr) could have gone to the trenches.

Oh well, on to Oakland!

Isn't it amazing, the healing powers that come to bear when next week's opponent is the Dallas Cowboys? To a lesser degree, think Sporels...oh, and look onto the future and see Rodgers. Playing the Cowboys on a national stage (Thanksgiving), or any stage for that matter, is like performing on Broadway (no matter their record), they can make you an overnight star, especially when they are not performing so well...JMO

Sounds like Jenkins will be playing
“Mike Jenkins really passed this morning,” coach Dennis Allen said. “There’s one more little step where [doctors have] got to visit with him, but he should be cleared for the game also.”

Its a 4 day turnaround but reading reports I guess it isn't a sure thing. I've seen reports say he's "questionable" for the game. I would think with the way the league is trying to crack down on those head injuries it would be a FOR SURE game he'd miss. But you never know. We usually face relatively healthy teams. They might be injured before we play them but they all seem to get up to play us lol.

I agree with everything you said, but isn't this his second season?

While admiring his comments about Romo, I'm apalled about what Mike said about Dallas having a personal vendetta against him. I think he's a sterling example of one of those who felt entitled to more than what he deserved and ultimately unwittingly caused his team to underachieve. He's simply a peckerhead, IMHO.

Mike Jenkins: Romo taught me the game. "Everything I see from Romo is beautiful. I think Romo is 1 of the best quarterbacks in the league."

Oakland CB Mike Jenkins: "My last few years in Dallas had nothing to do w/ swagger. It was more of a personal vendetta that was going on."

Often injured very average tackler. Had one good year and coasted. I bet $5 he gets hurt during the game tomorrow.
