Maybe it’s a distraction, away from a distraction. I don’t think anybody on the team cares and if anything it’s a good thing, because look how CeeDee Lamb is playing.

Is he a legit number 1 yet?

FRISCO, Texas – While the OBJ interview process wrapped up on Tuesday, the talk and speculation hadn't exactly died down by Wednesday at The Star.

In fact, Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones was asked by reporters if the talks with Odell Beckham Jr. were still on the table.

"We just need to see how the day goes," Jones said. "We're still working on it. Yes, that's fair."

While the Cowboys seem interested in acquiring OBJ, at least one veteran player sounds ready for a decision to be made.

DeMarcus Lawrence was asked on Wednesday if it's fair to say he wants Beckham signed by the Cowboys.

"It's fair to say I want to win a Super Bowl," Lawrence said. "So if he can come and help us with that, then yes I'll accept him. But if we're just gonna do the circus, no I don't. I'm focused on this year, this tam, what we have in the locker room and the journey we're on."

If he cant play till January, time to roll with James Washington. It's that simple.

Spoken like a true leader, Tank!

He gets it. Nows is the time for focus, not drama.

You can tell Tank understands that opportunity is limited, this may be the team's best chance in decades and the players need to reflect this in their work ethic and attention to detail. This is absolutely the very wrong time for distraction.

OBJ came and went without a deal. He doesn't want to work out so that's a red flag. If he can't play this season then we don't want to start paying him this season.

I'm glad to see a leader like Tank speak up and caution against the circus he may bring.

Well put Tank. Good for him. I agree with Tank. Now his visit is over let's concern ourselves with our players and the Texans, and the rest of our opponents. I haven't felt this good about Tank since be threw the LT down and blasted Matt Ryan.

He didnt work out because his knee is not healthy enough to run routes, too much lateral pressure on the ACL could retear the ligament if he tries to make cuts on it before its totally healthy.

That is why the Bills and Giants didnt offer him a contract either, NFL teams are not stupid, they have some of the best medical staffs around and they can tell right away what condition his knee is in after examining him.

Tank needs to focus on doing his job and leave the rest to the fans and media.

Glad to see Tank has changed as he used to be a ring leader of the circus in this town. That "hotboyz" crap is still recent history.

Reading this thread, consensus:
"We like our guys."

Me?
"I like our guys."

Oh...wait...that's a derisive meme, yet it's how we feel. Head exploding in 3...2...

This is Lawrence saying, "no thanks".

If Jerry makes the move and it doesn't work, he's going to lose a hell of a lot of loyalty and I think you'll see players really start to cash it in.

I don't believe that, they have the same agent and that same agent has praised Jerry and Stephen on this same station on how they do business and the direction of the team. I'm sure Dlaw is a part of the process

I'm fine with the team and players doing the full court press on obj when he was here with the expectation that if he's not healthy enough to play we don't extend an offer.

They did just that - put themselves in the best position to sign him if the conditions were met.

When they weren't they passed.

This is how it should be

Yep, and I get the impression that as no Offensive stars were out at the Mavs game with OBJ the club was keeping him separate so as not to create a schism in the roster.
Youre so right that he's not fit and may be fit for the late play-offs and that he AND the teams were both playing a game to get a deal (Jerry saw a cut price 'injury' deal and OBJ hoped for a desperate team to make a long term offer).
