Tank seems to have forgotten what organization he plays for.
Fans: “Why can’t Jerry go for it like the Rams did? Like Philly is doing this year? Those teams really want to win and act like it. They see a final piece and make it happen”
Also Fans: “Booger is just ruining the chemistry of the team, bringing in a guy right during the stretch run. I think the players are going to mentally check out with Jerry pulling this crap.”
Good grief.
We can only dream of a professionally run front office.I mean doofuses in the front office could have done something about WR in the off-season or before the trade deadline if they really thought we needed one so bad (after trading away Cooper for a bag of Doritos). Jerry already seemed to be putting a lot of eggs in the OBJ basket prior to passing on a trade, yet weeks later OBJ turns up as a gimp who won't even work out after the organization publicly courts him. Now, we have players talking about a circus and an organization that seems to think a WR is necessary to get over the top, but which can't make that happen.
So yes, I would say the front office has rather blown it.
A pawn? He wants to play chess with Cooper in Cleveland? Who is the pawn?LOL. OBJ isnt suing the Cowboys. This happens all the time. The Cowboys should be suing him for the money they spent on the tickets to the Mavs game considering he knew he couldnt work out and came to Dallas anyways trying to get paid.
Also. From what Jerry and Stephen have said in the last 2 days. They are still working on a contract. OBJ himself posted a pawn piece on Twitter. He knows whats up. This is a business.
For it to be "actionable" they have to prove the Cowboys leaked it.
Good luck.
I like the Leadership from DLaw! The Cowboys have good team focus on the guys already in the building.FRISCO, Texas – While the OBJ interview process wrapped up on Tuesday, the talk and speculation hadn't exactly died down by Wednesday at The Star.
In fact, Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones was asked by reporters if the talks with Odell Beckham Jr. were still on the table.
"We just need to see how the day goes," Jones said. "We're still working on it. Yes, that's fair."
While the Cowboys seem interested in acquiring OBJ, at least one veteran player sounds ready for a decision to be made.
DeMarcus Lawrence was asked on Wednesday if it's fair to say he wants Beckham signed by the Cowboys.
"It's fair to say I want to win a Super Bowl," Lawrence said. "So if he can come and help us with that, then yes I'll accept him. But if we're just gonna do the circus, no I don't. I'm focused on this year, this tam, what we have in the locker room and the journey we're on."
