This dude knows marketing, he knows what bringing a NFC championship or super bow would mean for him in Dallas. Honestly I don't care one way or another at this point, but I think he helps Dallas more this season by signing with the Giants. The Giants still play the Eagles twice and he could be a legit weapon for them against the Eagles.

I was referring to the slap in the face for Gallup. Gallup is less likely to be frustrated by the signing because he was already paid. Contract year + signing OBJ would equal less touches and less chances to make plays to earn a bigger payday. He is also well respected and can teach the younger guys a few things .. especially how to win in the postseason lol
Do you believe that this is all about money for these players? We're not talking about frustration, this is pride. They play for more than just the money. They play to find out where they stand among their peers. This is the definition of competition.

These guys were great in High School. They were great in college. They weren't getting a paycheck back then. They love the game and the thrill of competition. Even their contracts are based around where they believe they rank among their peers. In some cases, that's more important than the money itself.

I'll put it this way, if Odel came here with a team friendly contract, slowly integrated into the team with his playing time based on performance, then I'm all for it. He competes for playing time and gets what he earns.

Somehow, I don't think that is how everything is going to go down.

Take a look at Jerry's track history when it comes to acquiring high profile WR's. Take a look at Joey Galloway, Roy Williams, TO, Amari Cooper....

How many playoffs victories were the results of these acquisitions?

I'm tired of hearing about OBJ. Whether he'll join the Cowboys, or not is up to him.

I won't lose sleep if he joins another team. If he's ours, fine. If not, that's okay, too.

To be quite honest, I'm skeptical he'd turn out to be what Jerry leads us to believe.

I hope we don't sign him for 20 + million APY. Uncle Fish said he's looking for multiyear 20+ APY. If we so that I'll be disappointed. We could have kept Cooper and Cooper has 2 healthy knees. I know Cooper didn't get along with everyone but to trade Cooper for a 5th just to sign OBJ to the same contract is plain stupid considering OBJ's health.

It is fairly obvious that Cooper was sent packing because of other things besides on field performance, mainly he would not get vaccinated.

Jerry publicly called Cooper out for that on his radio show, said he was not a "team player".

Coop was then given away to the Browns for a bag of Doritos............coincidence? I think not.

Buffalo on Friday with the whole weekend before Dallas? My bet is he never leaves the state of NY before signing.

There is not a lot to do in Buffalo in December, you pretty much have to just hunker inside since it is so bitterly cold.

Cant imagine OBJ signing there unless it is just a total merc deal to get a ring.

He really need him so hopefully he signs. This team needs a spark at the position. Run Defense and WR need an upgrade so lets get it down, least we can fill one of those.

So by this, you’re saying Gallup would not be happy with signing Odell for being a competitor.

But elite guys like Stefon Diggs, Travis Kelce and other guys like Gabe Davis would not feel the same?

I am not trying to be argumentative or disagree. But I think at this point in the grind, teams are willing to do what it takes to get that ring.

Dallas is 20-8 last 28 regular season games . I think they’ve proven they can win under McCarthy . Need to be successful obviously post season not sure why the players you already have here can’t get the job done without this media circus for an overhyped overpaid prima Donna .

Who’s got serious injury questions surrounding him no less and wants “ multi yrs “ . Vonn Miller currently out with his own serious injury thinks OBJ will end up in Buffalo . Enjoy the weather .

So does the other teams. We complain about how things are done and talent making acquisitions that other SB caliber teams make. But when it comes to our team it's a No. That is until we lose in the playoffs and we complain again about the same thing lol
Dallas is always bringing in some has been player instead of going after a top tier player getting his first contract. The other annoying issue is everything is always done to help Prescott. That Amari Cooper deal was stupid and never should of happened. Personally I would rather see Dallas try to trade for a top tier DT or LB instead of some diva WR.

I bet he doesn’t even play this year, bilks Dallas for a multi year deal and he’ll never get on the field. Rehab setback.

Or he’ll try to make his debut in the playoffs Bc that’s just the kind of diva he is. We’ll force plays to him and lose

That's what I would put money on as well. I am indifferent to signing him. If they do, fine. If they don't, I couldn't care less. Besides, this is not something the Cowboys normally do. OBJ can save himself two flights by never leaving NY.

Considering his hate for cold weather. And the wind and cold that is happening right now in Toronto (where I am) I think he is in Dallas Saturday lol.

Sorry if I'm a bit skeptical that OBJ might be the difference maker between the Cowboys getting to the Super Bowl or not. Coming freshly out of his second knee operation at this early date would most likely offer a very limited version of his better self. We currently have enough talent to do plenty of damage to some of the NFL's best defenses. The Cowboys FO, as always, is very prone to do whatever it takes to fill their stadium seats. Money is king. OBJ may be shocked to learn that we won't offer any more than what most other teams do. That's the way we roll, especially with Stephen there to deal with. ;)

Well seeing how they are not trading for OBJ, problem is you have to find a team Willing to not screw Dallas over in a trade. Becham will be the 2nd at worst 3rd option in Offense which will open up Lamb and Gallup more, runs for 20 amd 21. We cant afford to pay our guys and keep going out and getting high dollar players just to please the fanbase. Nobody was happy we signed Kearse but look what he has done for thos team etc. Honestly it doesn't matter what Jerry and Co do our fans will never be satisfied and will just complain.
