I know that both sides of the ball are holding back, but the offense still is taking too long with dumb penalties. The first game wasn't bad, but tonight's was disappointing. Would be nice to see our defense play a few series together, hopefully soon.

Things that bother me:
1. Our TE's(minus Witten) can not block to save their lives. Rosario was a whiff machine and Escobar needs a lot of work in all facets.

2. Webb might not make the team and I thought he was better than what he has displayed.

3. Jared Green - go play for your dad's team, you missed your opportunity.

4. Did Selvie play tonight? If he did, I missed it.

5. Danny Coale is history and I wanted to see more of him.

Things I like:
1. The offensive line is looking better but keep Fred at Center, he is not a guard.

2. I love all of the RB's, tough decision coming soon for the coaches.

3. Wilcox played better, I like his style and just needs more time.

This was a messy game with positives and negatives and the coaches got a lot of information of those on the bubble. There is still some work to do to get the kinks out but I feel confident things will right themselves.

I don't think the coaches have a tough decision to make on the RBs. Keep them all.

Especially since 3 of them can play special teams. I didn't like the Escobar pick and still don't. He is slow and one dimensional who feasted on lesser talent in college.

Selvie played, but it was earlier in the game. He played in the first quarter. If you see the highlight of the Sean Lee sack force fumble, Selvie is on the opposite side

I agree about Green. I'd much rather see Amos or Rogers than him. We heard a ton about Rogers at camp, but havn't seen him play much.

The most disappointing thing about the Escobar pick is this is the third 2nd-round TE in 5-6 years. Call me crazy but I don't know why they got rid of Bennett. He's an amazing blocker and can go up for jump balls in the red zone. Sounds exactly like what we need.

playing 2 TE set with TEs who cannot block is not good for your run game.

He wanted to be a starter. He was jealous of the attention Witten got, and wanted to get his own chance. I can't blame him for it.

If you're playing a 2 TE set then you basically have 2 starting TEs. I don't see why they couldn't have let him think he was a starter. He'd be perfect for this offense. Especially now with a good OL.

I don't agree with this at all. I think if we had made him a part of the passing game back then he would have been fine with staying. We never tried though, not even in the red zone.

..and the "jealous" thing is a bit much, haha.

I would really like to point out a guy who is really doesn't get talked about. Ernie Sims. The guy is just a fast football player and he doesn't seem to make many mistakes. I like him starting with Lee and Carter. I know Church made a couple of bad angles but I'm going to give him a pass considering how much time he missed. He will be fine though

I understand what he has said in the past, but i feel like had we made him a part of the passing attack, he would have been satisfied and that attitude would have changed.

I wanted Sims to be the starter after last season. Then they signed Durant and basically penciled him in as the starter. The good news is we have depth at LB.

Church has yet to prove anything really so the jury is still out on him, imo.

Sims is better than Durant, i don't think there's any question about that. The problem is we signed Durant to start. Hopefully, JG and Monte can look past that and play the guy that makes the plays.

Imagine if we would've kept Bennett and started this 2 TE offense years ago. We'd have an even more explosive offense and we would've used our 2nd round pick on something other than TE. We'll never know...

"Bennett said. "Everybody loved Witten so much. I thought they wanted me to be exactly like him. But that wasn’t my game. There are a lot of things Witten does well. And there are a lot of things that I do well that he doesn’t do. I think they loved that model of a tight end that they tried to pressure me to be exactly like him.
"Me and Eli are a lot closer than I was with (Tony) Romo," Bennett said. "I think Romo is a great quarterback. And I think he’s done some great things for the Cowboys. But I just think his relationship with Witten is one of those special things they were able to build.

Maybe jealousy wasn't the right word. But he made it pretty clear why he left. He was envious of Witten's role, if not of Jason himself. He wanted to be the guy, he said it over and over. I don't think he would have stayed even had we given him a nice offer.

Yea, hindsight is always 20/20.. wish we would have realized Bennett's value in the pass game though. I don't understand how they didn't see that.

Bennett wasn't utilized properly. That is the coaches fault on that one and I can't blame Bennett feeling left out. That said, I am glad he is gone :)
