Throughout the season before or after the game, never during the game. I can't eat and watch the Cowboys at the same time.

I try to get the wife and mother in law to time it so it's during halftime and pause and turn off my phones

I can’t either however I have been able to unload a thanksgiving dinner while still getting a glimpse of the game…..the family hates when I do that though.

The added benefit is that the Trytophan from the turkey can kick in so one can slumber beautifully even if the Cowboys lose.

Happened to me during the Selena Gomez halftime show in 2013. When the Matt McGloin led Raiders were beating the Cowboys like a drum. I woke up after the game was long over to find the Cowboys had won.

Yea, never during.

I always eat a decent meal before kickoff (no matter if it’s an early game, late game, or prime time game) and maybe grab a couple mouthfuls of leftovers at halftime if needed.

Never have an empty stomach at kickoff.
(especially since I typically have a couple beers during the game)

To nervous when watching the game, I will say that is what makes the game great is those nervous feelings.

I go to the game (except last 2 year) I have attended every Cowboys thanksgiving. We get to the Hotel in Irving and have Thanksgiving Dinner before heading out to the ball game. Hotel always has a nice Thanksgiving Day spread then off to the game.
Nice! A trip to a Cowboys game on Thanksgiving is definitely on my bucket list!

I eat before the game. Losses ruin my appetite. But after we win, I go back for seconds!!!
