I kind of agree with this, but will add something.

It does kind of get annoying, maybe not twitter itself, but some things in this world that you may not even care the least about have a way of seeping in to your life and becoming obnoxious.

One example is how Youtube is now infested with advertising. Yeah I don't care about that car you're selling but I still have to deal with it.

Another is fantasy football. I've played it myself, but sometimes when I want to hear NFL reports or coverage I don't want to hear about who to "start" on my fantasy team. But I can't really avoid it as it's a part of most NFL coverage.

I get that.. I've just learned to overlook the things that annoy me.

What I think would limit some of annoyance from folks on the Zone if folks learned how to properly post some of things that are posted on twitter. At least when posting in order of a person's timeline and cleaning out the clutter.

As it relates to the importance of what someone tweets, I do try to use a filter for what I post; similar to how I post articles.

Lots of things in life annoy me. Social Media is not one of them. I think it is inconsistent for a person to spend time on a message board but bash other tools for communication. Many people still believe the internet is useless and foolish including forums. Many Cowboy fans all around the world do just fine without message boards dedicated to talking about the Cowboys. I think if something entertains or enhances your life, then do it. Someday, in the future, Twitter and Facebook will be replaced with something better. I dare to say forums may one day be replaced as well.

Twitter is a friend/companion to those who have no lives.
It is a excellent resource for elderly people. And out of work Gen Xers and Gen Yers.

I actually do carry the Zone in my pocket. I can access it from my phone and I bet there are quite a few who do, as well.
