Odds Romo is MVP

I posted this elsewhere:

Why is Rodgers the "undeniable" MVP by many? Romo's team has the same record, yes that very same team once projected to finish dead last. Romo has a higher passer rating than Rodgers and in fact leads the entire NFL, Romo's Cowboys have the same record as the Packers, and finally Romo has already won his division...with a broken back. So I ask the NFL population, why isn't Romo the lead MVP candidate? Dude can never get credit when he deserves it.

The problem with his chances are his name was added to the conversation too late...even though without a doubt he is the MVP.

What's it going to be then, eh?

The problem is that a lot of pundits stick to the idea he cannot win in the postseason.

To me that is not what the award means, but it is what it is.

It'll take a SB win. Closing out December (against the skins?) isn't good enough lol. He may not even play next week.

Still amazed that Romo said himself that his best football was ahead of him after the back surgery and oh was he so right. Playing the best ball of his career.

I feel with another strong performance to close out December, it is his.

NFLN Finally talking like they have some sense (Sapp, LT, Billeck...). Said Garrett knows what he's doing modeling this team after the one he played on.

Well, there's still one game to go... and with the Deadskins game basically meaningless I hope the Boys air it out to try to get Romo a strong shot. After the shameless and embarrassing stat padding display put on by the Packers yesterday, I wouldn't mind one bit.

No way Romo wins MVP. If he has a similar year next season, he may be considered.
He will be mentiond, along with 2-3 other guys, but everyone puts much of his success on the rise of our run game. Aaron Rogers has been big time in years with no run game and half his OL on injured reserve.

We can't just look at stats and think Romo loses MVP due to Cowboy envy/hatred...that's ultimate homerism. It's great that he is in the conversation; it's great that Murray is in the conversation, but I don't see Romo getting many real votes unless Rogers craps the bed vs Detroit in the season finale in prime time. Great performance and victory by Rogers, and he wins MVP, in my opinion.

I was listening to the talking heads today and they were saying it is Murray and the OL. They downplayed Romo

The idea that Rodgers doesn't play with good players is a big load... just like the idea that an MVP can't have another MVP caliber player on their team. It's happened tons of times.

No no no! Sit Romo and let his back rest. He's already clinched the division by week 16 and there's absolutely nothing to play for. Why risk Romo to a division rivalry on the road in the winter to an unpredictable blitz scheme.

Sitting Romo is a must!

I would agree with this and he's always going to have a choker label until he wins one. Some people will always put the blame on Romo, undeservedly so.

For the record, this is my preference too but it already seems to have come out that everyone's playing, so...
