I posted this elsewhere:

Why is Rodgers the "undeniable" MVP by many? Romo's team has the same record, yes that very same team once projected to finish dead last. Romo has a higher passer rating than Rodgers and in fact leads the entire NFL, Romo's Cowboys have the same record as the Packers, and finally Romo has already won his division...with a broken back. So I ask the NFL population, why isn't Romo the lead MVP candidate? Dude can never get credit when he deserves it.

Because they would have to admit that they have been WRONG about him...

Bingo, the national media will never admit they were wrong about Tony Romo.

It bothers me every time they mention how Tony Romo is terrible in December than conveniently forget that the only reason Philly won last year was because Romo got hurt.

The national media is for the most part a bunch herd grazing cowards.

When Matt Flynn put up Rodgers numbers in a game, then failed everywhere else he went that showed me the Packers system has a LOT to do with Rodgers success. He's an excellent QB but he benefits more than Romo ever has from his surroundings.

This happened in one game a few years ago. Kind of like the time garret subbed for aikman and threw for a bunch of yards and tds. Was garret as good as aikmam?? Not even close. And what did Flynn do last year when Rodgers was hurt. I Other than the second half of the Dallas game, nothing. If it was the system, the system sucked. Take Rodgers off the packers the packers are drafting top ten.

Who deserves it more?? I think both are deserving with neither above or below the other. I do believe the game this weekend will answer the question. If Rodgers plays well and packers win, he will most likely win it. If not I would say Romo deserves it.

And voting is done after the final regular season game. Playoffs have nothing to do with it.

Who know that anything " Cowboys" will attract an audience...

To them, good or bad it doesn't make a difference, and they won't dare talk about Sanchez now throwing game ending picks in December in several of the recent games.

It would tarnish their hype of the " magic offense"

I think the Romo MVP is possible as more and more talk within the media about him having a good chance to win the award

Brady was just puloed after going 8 for 16 for 80 yards... not bad stats but not mvp stats. 2 man race now? Romo vs Rodgers

It's Romo or Rodgers and tbh Romo has been better. They will give it to Rodgers though and use Murray as an argument for why Romo shouldn't get it

Rodgers has to have a bad game.

Even then I fear they give it to Watt who has 2 more sacks today...so far.

They don't give it to defensive players or players on nonplayoff teams... I can't see them giving it to a defensive player on a nonplayoff team.

Like John Kitna did for this team

Let's not take anything away from these QBs

I'm not saying he's the MVP but Rodgers is the best QB in football

Romo may deserve the MVP over him but mentioning system and Rodgers is laughable

Watt is revered in the media. Also...Houston is not yet eliminated from the playoffs.

It without a doubt should be Romo at this point. If he doesn't win it this season, the reward is up there with the Probowl, IMO. A popularity contest.

I think the problem is Romo's reputation as not being a winner.

Aaron Rodgers has a different rep and he gets a nod as being superior because the Packers win regularly.

It's a stigma.

Don Meredith, Craig Morton and Danny White had to deal with it, too.

Win and it disappears.

Poof.

We are all still waiting for the Poof.

And when I say win..

I mean in the playoffs now.

Personally, I'd vote
1. JJ Watt
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. Brady/Romo/Murray (pick one)

Romo has as close to zero chance as one can get. If going with a QB, what possible stat can one look at where Romo is better than Rodgers this year? Even as a Cowboys and Romo fan, I cannot make an argument for Romo over Rodgers for MVP.

That said, if Watt isn't the MVP, then we may never see another defensive player win that award.
