“Nothing to beat the blitz, I just dont get it.

I would liek to see the read option with Dak pulling and either running or throwing it to Austin“

The real solution is having the TE, WR or RB going to the spot where Blitzer came from, such a easy fugging completion but why can’t this coaching staff come up with such simple solutions. Are they intentionally limiting Dak’s ability to audible out of plays?

We run long developing routes, teams know our hot reads, our OL is struggling pass protection, and Dak holds the ball too long

Add it up and you have a recipe for a crap sandwich on 3rd down.

Pressure defenses give us a hard time— won’t get any easier next Sun when Philly comes to town

You are making an assumption that may not be based on actual facts.

We are 2nd in the NFL in total offense. We are averaging 25.5 points per game.

If we didn’t have the ability to pick up a blitz I doubt we would be 2nd in offense.

Sounds like you are venting on 1 play.

That said our offensive line has struggled.
Dak would be injured several times if his name was Wentz.

if you play weak teams and have all the time in the world to scan the field. hum.
Oh so if the team you are playing are weak then you don’t have to read defenses...well since he has an all time top 4 QB rating since entering the league there is less than a 0% chance anyone can achieve this and not know how to read a defense.

Since you seem to be overreacting to the 2pt conversation you should know that based on where the blitz came from he made the correct read.

maybe he can't read the defense?
I dont think this gets brought up enough. I'm not saying he can or cant, but there are some signs that this might not be a strength of Dak. The cowboys seem to have simplified things to identify coverages, for example the number of times they go with an empty backfield, only to motion Zeke back in. Blitz pickup continues to be an issue though. Is it the ol? Play calling? The qb? Probably a combination, but it's a question worthy of discussion.

lol well you just need to change routes on 1 or 2 guys and make them go in the direction where blitz is going come from p.s. there will be a giant open spot for a player to sit in and catch the ball before the Blitzer crosses line of scrimmage.

Well then why does this thread exist? If Dak can read the defense, should be a nonissue.

Question, did he make two pro bowls this year? In those two years, how many weak teams did they play?
back when he was a short passes driving the bus and handing the ball off. He's no Brady. Play him at what he's good at. Dinking and donking it 5-7 yards and handing the ball off, that way he doesn't have to read crap since he's slow.

Because coaches are handcuffing is ability to audible . Just look at the amount of times Offense ran the ball on 1st down.
While I agree 100% the coaching staff is atrocious, Dak has been pretty inconsistent himself. Romo pointed out a 3rd and short, 1 on 1 man (the one Jarwin dropped), that Dak should have audibled a slant on the right side of the field; but Dak didnt. Did Dak not read the defense? IDK but its pretty telling to hear Romos thinking.

I think Dak wanted to but Jason Garret has taken over all play calling duties to prove that he is a real HC and told Dak not audible.

Hahahahaha!!!
Let me get this straight.....
Since some fans want to overreact to 1 play at the end of the game where Dak made the correct read and created a thread on a fans board then thats the proof you need to say Dak can't read defenses.....

Dumbest post of the day my man. Its going to be hard to top this one.

Yeah dude, people are so crazy! Dak did everything right yesterday. Lights out, amazing, perfect passer, what else can we use to describe his day against the Jets?!

A Warrior.

This thread is about if Dak can read defenses. Tell me what was the correct read when you have a defender blitzing right up the middle?

You said he can't read defenses because someone made a thread.....haha.. I still laugh when I think of your logic.

So what is the right read on the play? Go ahead.....set me straight.
