Anybody else think our offense just lacks speed I mean sure we have big physical receivers but I dont see them stretching the field with there speed

How can they stretch the field when after the snap the QB is getting hit before he has a chance to let the recievers get into their routes?

The whole thing wrong with this team is the oline...fix that, and things will change drastically!

ok Al Davis, we will take note of your speed requirements.

The O-Line is the biggest issue with your lack of ability to really stretch the field.

Dez and Miles are plenty of speed at WR and add to that Felix out of the backfield and there is more than enough speed on the team.

The problem is the QBs don't have the time to let the speed do it's thing cause the O-Line couldn't block a high school track team.

Can someone help this user out? Obviously their 5 year old daughter got a hold of their password and is now posting ludicrous ideas on cowboyszone

The OLine just sucks. You upgrade the OLine and it will do wonders for everything else. Having a deep threat won't help if you can't run the ball because defenses won't respect the run and will put their safeties deep to cover the deep ball, negating any WR speed you have.

If you can run the ball well, you'll start seeing defenses start to creep up and it will help Miles and Dez get downfield, especially with the power of the play action.

agree with the op we do need a more speed on this offense . like alot of other posters im going to say again we need a fast slot WR. and we could hopefully pick up a speed RB3 . and hopefully felix drops some lbs for next season as awell to try and get his speed back .

No. I really don't think it's an issue at all. In fact, I think the biggest problem with this team is we've spent too many resources on skill players and too little on the lines.

Skill position wise? We got big play guys everywhere.

Oline is lethargic though.

Yeah, when I think of Dez, Felix and Miles, I think we lack speed.

Yeah Our only offensive concerns need to be protecting Romo and creating running lanes.

Not at all, adding someone like Titus Ryan wouldn't be terrible though, but Kevin Ogletree should be able to fill that role.

Neither Dez nor Miles is a burner. I've seen both of them caught from behind numerous times. I'd probably say Miles is a good bit faster than Dez, but still not a speed guy.

I think Terry Glenn helped Romo a lot not only because of his route running but his speed as well. Terrell Owens also helped Romo out speed wise, but he definitely was getting slower towards the period of time where we released him.

Getting Romo a quick receiver would help me a lot.

That said getting an offensive line is the best medicine for what ails romo and this offense.

Even if this were true, it's not that big a deal. The Norval offense doesn't require speed - look at SD not a speedster really in the bunch. What it does require is big, fast receivers who run precise routes and a QB who is precise with his delivery. And that's what we've got. I think we saw Tony this season willing to just let the ball go and let his guys go make a play on it, unfortunately it didn't always work this season.

Call me crazy but I think Austin and Bryant have plenty of speed... The QB needs time to get the ball down the field.

Uncle Felix can burn as well... I'm not really getting it.

Austin and Bryant are at least as fast as Terry Glenn was.

His strength didn't come from his speed, it came from his route running and agility.
