Not an apologist at all.
I'll give you the small part the one policeman was wrong on video.
But.. Think this through. Maybe one fan goes on the field to confront an offical, opponent, opposing fan.
Then what? Look I am on fields for soccer matches where there is no fence and anyone can come on the field.
A pissed off parent or fan can come on the field. Where does that leave me as an offical.
I just wish you could think your way through the situation. Put yourself in the position of say the oppising coach.
When a opponent fan clocks his player. Then you should be saying - Who's telling these people to not go on the field.
That is the responsibility of the participating schools - ADMINISTRATION.
I know it - coached know it and the school ADMINISTRATORS know it.

*small part*??? the officer can guide the kids back into the stands. he didn't have to get sneaky and trip the kids. how in the name of anything remotely intelligent is what the officer did for the safety of the kids, as you seem to be implying. he needed to deal with the situation as it was, not pretend he was stopping some zombie kid apocalypse.

You missed - small part. There were piles of kids. It would have taken him alone an hour to remove them all.
And I agreeded he was wrong - in what he did.
Still the schools and administration falt. If you watch and see the school will post a letter to kids and parents - that they are not allowed on the field after games.

The school and administration are not at fault for the officer's actions. He acted on his own.
