You are probably right and the cop might be power hungry with an inferiority complex but the problem with the "progressive social organization grass root movement" is that they base their opinions on 10 second video clips without knowing anything else about the situation.

I was just messn bro. We're good, I was just having fun. Touche Sir;)

They need increased psych screening for LE; too many simple bullies fall through the cracks.

I know it's OT, but this whole "Bully" thing needs to go away. When I was a kid you were taught to deal with bullies on your own, not have mommy, daddy, etc... do it for us.

I agree sometimes it's extreme (which is beyond bullying IMO).

That said, as a cop you kind of have to have an aggressive personality. I don't want cops in my area to be tentative.

But that cop, needs to be fired. There's just no reason to go tripping a bunch of kids.

Dont know and dont care. Like every other viral outrage people will be shocked and appalled for a minute or two and then go back to watching the Kardashions and forget all about it.

People get up-in-arms when anyone messes with children. From a societal aspect, I don't think that's a bad thing.

I agree with you for the most part, especially the part about wanting an aggressive police officer. The cop in the vid is just a maroon and deserves to be suspended for a really long time. I don't condone him being fired if everything in his service record is above board.

I've seen how bullying can truly affect some people and I know in the situation I observed, by the time it was resolved. Bodily harm threats were made. Fights were had in the school. And folks were sent to jail. You kinda want it to end before it gets to that point, but the school admins sat on their thumbs until it escalated. Anywho, whole 'nother topic.

I hear and understand your perspective completely. I learned how to box @ a young age and a couple of cheap "throat" moves when I was overmatched. Unfortunately, this new age bullying is passive aggressive sadism. I would take a physical beatdown anyday over this type of daily hell. I watched a documentary where the kids would go into great detail about "murdering you, raping your mom, cutting off your " " when you go to the urinal, etc." These kids are using much more psychological torture that is disturbing. These are new age bullies who aren't tough enough to fight, but use punk methods to keep the persistent torture pressure on their victims. No 'one on ones' after school. This bully mob mentaility is more of the problem. I use to be the suck it up type, but what if my kid can't box, or my daughter has psychological issues that make her vulnerable? I had to rethink my position.

No its not a bad thing. But its not like these kids were beat down or abused. My son is in high school and if he ran out onto the field when he wasnt supposed to and got tripped by an overzealous cop I would tell him thats what you get.

Well, glad you're not my Dad, LOL. A cop trips my daughter like that and there will be hell to pay.

If I had a little girl I would probably come out swinging. But I look at my son more through my eyes when I was a kid and even though I got away with most of the stupid crap I pulled when I did get busted I knew I probably deserved what I got.

Should be fired, brought up on assault charges and whatever else can be thrown at that POS.

Ahhhh.... No. The School administratiors should be fired.
It's their authority over studentents at the venue.
The police officer was like a finger in the leaky dam.
Think of it this way. What if some of the student sections - met on the field - and during the game were taunting each other.
Or a winning student get's into a losing players face. Gas and match lit.
Boom goes the end of the event. This is the administrators fault. Not the police. Police are trying to head off a situation that could have exploded.

He can't even use the "I was keeping them off the field" excuse.

What....there was all of a hundred students there?

He's probably an absolute angel out in the force. Plays by the rules and all.

It's lucky this was filmed................. The next video of him would've been much worse, IMO.

Read my post above - think it over.

Oh. An if a fight broke out and your little darling got tagged and broke her face up.

Let's sue the police for not stopping the students coming on the fields....

School Administration fault.

Isn't whose fault it is for the tots running onto the field a red herring? The cop tripped tots for no apparent reason. He was not trying to keep them off the field, he was just being a bully.

Oh I understand you were nothing but an apologist for him.

Not an apologist at all.
I'll give you the small part the one policeman was wrong on video.
But.. Think this through. Maybe one fan goes on the field to confront an offical, opponent, opposing fan.
Then what? Look I am on fields for soccer matches where there is no fence and anyone can come on the field.
A pissed off parent or fan can come on the field. Where does that leave me as an offical.
I just wish you could think your way through the situation. Put yourself in the position of say the oppising coach.
When a opponent fan clocks his player. Then you should be saying - Who's telling these people to not go on the field.
That is the responsibility of the participating schools - ADMINISTRATION.
I know it - coached know it and the school ADMINISTRATORS know it.
