Official: 4 Playoff Scenarios Left

None of the scenarios is particularly likely since these scenarios can legitimately break so many different ways, but if I'm picking the games, I think NY beats MIN and GB beats AZ. The game I'm least sure about is DAL/PHI, which I think is basically a toss-up.

Minny and AZ are both at home and have something to play for vs. teams that don't have anything to play for. The Giants are out of the playoffs while GB is locked in as a road wildcard team regardless of their outcome.

Any of those scenarios are possible, but Dallas winning and the Vikings and Cards losing at home to give us the bye isn't the most likely scenario, in fact, it's probably one of the least likely.

It's just funny that someone would say the scenario that is in our best interest is the "most likely" when it obviously isn't.

I don't want the #2. I'll be in Texas for Wildcard weekend and will be going to the game in Dallas if it is a home game.

Host Philly if Vikes wins
Host GB if Vikes and GB lose
Get a bye if Vikes and AZ lose (how sweet would that be!!!)​

Play at Minny if Vikes or GB win

We can agree to disagree with what's most likely and what's obvious and what isn't. You're ignoring badly what's happened to MIN over the last month, and how well GB has been playing lately, though. The wildcard is that it's week 17.

Prior to Minny spitting the bit in Chicago, us getting a shot at the 2 seed appeared to be a pipe dream. Now, it's a legitimate possibility. I don't know what odds Vegas might place on the various three-team parleys left in the NFC, but I'd wager they all pay pretty evenly.

It'd be Philly @ Minn and Green Bay @ AZ.

I think Philly wins that and we would play the winner of GB/AZ. That has to be the perfect scenario.

A fairly decent scenario yes - add to that the winner of Minn/Phil beating the Saints - i think that would mean we would then host the Championship game??!!!

Now that would be a PERFECT scenario would it not??

Would love for the road to Miami to come thru Dallas, but I ultimately don't care. A well played game by the 'Boys and any NFC team will fall to them!

I concur. Cowboys can beat any team in the NFL when they play their game. They're going to need to do just that for at least 3 or 4 consecutive weeks to take the title.

sorta seems like dallas losing to philly would actually be better for them in terms of competition. the two teams i'd most like to play right now are the vikings and cardinals.
