This thread's title is a complete joke. Anyone who engages in Romo "roasting" or thinks they're intelligibly defending a case for trading Romo is obviously not very smart.

We have this legendary freakin' quarterback on our team, who happens to be 7-3 this year. And people want to "trade him." As if we have an actual chance of finding something better.

Get a grip. For your own sake.

Romo had a horrible game. But I dont recall Romo ever having back to back horrible games so I expect him to play great ball next week. Hopefully our Defense plays as stellar as they did today. That fat lady is not ready to sing just yet.

Pittsburgh has a great defense, but the bottom line is Romo was effected by the elements. Cold and wind.

He has a good arm with a quick release but he doesn't have the rifle arm needed to drive the ball into the wind and thus he couldn't get the ball to his WRs down the field.

He said he sucked. He was right.
well im glad he took responsibility. one thing i havent liked about romo in the past is that a lot of his bad games he would chalk it up as havin a game that every QB has. that if you dont make mistakes it probably means ur not trying. i rather hear him own up to his mistakes and say i will do everything in my power to avoid this happening again. those words might not impress a lot of people but it at least it doesnt give fans a bad impression n it shows to the fans that he is committed!

Unfortunately great QBs dont have their worse games when it matters most. That seems to be a growing trend with Romo. Hopefully he will bounce back and lead us into the playoffs.

I think he will bounce back. He's usually pretty good when it matters most during games.

Superpunk posted this in another thread....

Here are some other QBs numbers for this season only, it's tough to find compiled career splits.

Drew Brees, when playing from behind, has an 85.4 QB rating. He has thrown 9 TDs, and 10 INTs. In the 4th quarter, with the game within 7 points, he has a 72.2 rating, and has thrown 4 TDs and 6 INTs.

Kurt Warner fares a little better. When playing from behind, he has an 89.8 QB rating, has thrown 13 TDs and 8 INTs. In the 4th quarter within +/-7 category, he has an 85.6 rating, 6 TDs and 5 INTs.

Eli Manning, when playing from behind, has an 78.8 QB rating. He has thrown 4 TDs, and 3 INTs. In the 4th quarter, with the game within 7 points, he has a 115.4 rating, and has thrown 4 TDs and 1 INTs.

Eli Manning, when playing from behind, has an 83.2 QB rating. He has thrown 11 TDs, and 7 INTs. In the 4th quarter, with the game within 7 points, he has a 80.6 rating, and has thrown 5 TDs and 3 INTs.

Brett Favre, when playing from behind, has an 80.3 QB rating. He has thrown 6 TDs, and 5 INTs. In the 4th quarter, with the game within 7 points, he has a 82.5rating, and has thrown 4 TDs and 3 INTs.

Tony Romo, when playing from behind, has an 107.9 QB rating. He has thrown 9 TDs, and 3 INTs. In the 4th quarter, with the game within 7 points, he has a 146.4 rating, and has thrown 5 TDs and 0 INTs.

Now you tell me based on those results who you would want QBing your team with the game on the line, or attempting to lead a comeback.

Tony Romo, without a doubt.

Then even if he takes you to the playoffs, how are you going to win with him? it's going to be cold and windy in Giants stadium. stop making excuses for this loser.

Tony Romo is the most "contrary" player I have seen in a Cowboys uniform. Whenever you think he's gonna suck, he plays well and when you then expect him to play well... he sucks.

He really is beginning to look alot like a chokeartist. I don't care what his 4th Qtr passer rating says. I'm running out of patience with him, but it's clear he's our future. So I dunno....

You don't get chances for Horrible Back to Back playoff games, IE, Seatle and Giants, how many big time games has he gave away now. Tony Turnover is not a Championship Caliber QB, he plays good back yard football and that don't win championships.

And what did I post that isnt true. You and Braveheart post your flurting somewhere else. \

Are you still getting over your Techies getting exposed?

Hahahah....that was a GREAT game. Throttled is a word that applies.

Sorry, back on the subject. QB's do have bad games every now and then. Yes, even the great Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have had bad games...even, gasp, in playoffs and important games.

Your easily amused then. You should see a doctor about that.

And I guess im plain stupid, because I don't fit your other criteria for why I would have posted this.

Keep your homer goggles on and make some toast while taking your next bath.

I'll keep them on. And when we're in the playoffs, and winning games, I'll be able to happy continue cheering knowing I wasn't some wishy washy fan like you. Of course you'll be right along with everyone else cheering, pretending you never had any doubt, but everyone will remember.

Sorry dumb *** but what exactly did you expect from this D. They played lightsout. Amazing. Im not one the guys saying Romo should be cut but he is the reason they lost. The defense played outstanding and to say any different is flat out stupid.

Ummm...point out where in my post I called the defense out. The only dumb *** here is you since you either can't read or you see things that aren't there. I never blamed anyone on the defense. I said there were more people to blame than just Romo.

Romo, some poor special teams play at crucial times, some bad play calling toward the end of the game. But not one time did I say a thing about this defense.

You should get the sand removed from your ******. You'll feel better. Won't help with your inability to read though.

avaj

romo should get one more year to prove himself, if he doesn't deliver, he needs to be shipped somewhere
