That's not true. He was only there for like two weeks and got cut . He was the best backup on that roster during preseason and Ted Thompson cut him because he said it wasn't fair to bring him in without having a full training camp and preseason.

Read between the lines in what Thompson said. He basically said Young just wasn't catching on to the offense. Green Bay had no problems bringing in Seneca Wallace with no training camp or pre-season games. They had no issues picking up Matt Flynn with no training camp or pre-season games. They never thought about bring Young back because he just wasn't bright enough to learn their offense. You don't just let go of the best backup.

Is there any other qb's they can bring in just in case Orton gets hurt. Which is highly possible.

Cowboys: Vince, can you suit up for us?
Vince: Um, do they half a Cheesecake Factory near there?

Yeah, I bet Vince has been working out ever day. . . . .

Who are some backup qb's that played under Norv Turner that might be available. Norv and Garrett run the same offense so it shouldn't be too difficult to transition.

Good lord..

You want the old Washington Commanders QBs back..?

What would Favre offer at this point even if he wanted to come back?

A month ago on NFL Network he said he wasn't in shape and his arm is about shot. Like it was when he last played.

There's is no legal reason they couldn't. He has been throwing the ball since this Summer.
As a backup to Orton if it comes down to that your talking circus.

I would sign "someone". But I'm guessing they will take a no name guy and if Orton fails. Then were done and that's it.

We go down with Orton. Whoever is signed as backup really doesn't matter ......

LOL....we are not signing a guy to play in the game. We just need a guy for practice or to heave a desperation pass. I'm sure if Orton went down, we'd just direct snaps to Murray unless we were within a score and just wanted someone to throw a ball up for grabs or short to Murray out of backfield.

1310 the Ticket in Dallas said earlier that sources at Valley Ranch say Dallas may very well call Favre...unreal

I think they should sign someone who had experience with Kelly's offense... someone needs to run the scout team.

The charge he was arrested on in July was a misdemeanor. He did not do jail time. He's recently been coaching HS QBs in Georgia last I heard. Still has drug issues unfortunately. Is a deadbeat Dad, which I consider far worse.

I pray he gets his life together someday...he has some talent...just sad he threw it away...
