I am disappointed that Iloka did not show up more, but, if he was smart with his money from his Bengal's contract, he should still be set up a lot better than some of the other kids getting pink slips today.

Most of them are broke soon after...

Stephan Jones said they’re keeping 10 DL. And they’re still discussing the last 2-3 based on “how things play out today and tomorrow”. Sounds like they’re trying to trade someone..?

But I want 11, Stephen — Lawrence, Charlton, Armstrong, Hyder, Jackson, Jelks, Collins, Woods, Covington, Hill and Crawford. And that's not including Wise. If we trade one and put Jelks on IR, then I guess I'm OK with 10, depending on who we trade and what we get in return

So 12 guys gone so far if my count is right.

A total of 15 at the moment.

Safety Jameill Showers and CB Tyvis Powell have been waived/injured. That means they'll revert to the IR list assuming nobody claims them.

The players waived outright are TE's Marcus Lucas and Codey McElroy, tackles Juwann Bushell-Beatty and Lukayas McNeil, LB's Nate Hall and Justin Phillips, RB Darius Jackson, S George Iloka, LS Drew Scott, CB Treston Decoud, WR Reggie Davis, OT Jake Campos, and punter Kasey Redfern.

You have Darius Jackson listed twice

I don't think either Covington is safe. The LB is getting cut, and the DT has been outplayed by other people including Wise

I agree with the IRs and you have to save some of the young talent for next year when Crawford, Collins, and possibly Charlton, Quinn, and/or Woods are gone.

Covington hasn't done much this preseason, but he's the only true one-tech here besides Antwuan Woods. It may be risky letting him go.
