Both Archer and Broaddus have alluded to Keith and Rod Smith making the roster. They must be hearing something. I don't see the value of carrying two fullbacks.

How many snaps does the FB even average per game on this team??? And Cowboys are thinking about keeping TWO of them? Another example of Garrett and FO trying to outthink everyone. Sign a true FB if the position is so important, instead of keeping 2 to do the job of one.

I would have cut Street before him !!!
yeah I would have kept
WR Rodney Smith
he made some contested catches in the seattle game, better than street. I predicted they would cut him.
They tend to keep guys that just dont show anything over guys that do.

it is for running the ball, JG thinks of moose and emmitt, but moose was much better than fb's today.
For a blocking FB why not just use a big lineman ?

No big surprises, everybody knew Moore was going on IR for the season and I highly doubt they bring him back in-season.

The real cuts come after the last preseason game, that is when you might see some surprises.

As soon as he is ready...I bet he's back...He'll have to clear waivers...so that might be a problem.;)

I think they can get the 4th year back for JSmith if he spends the season on the NFI
I wondered about that and would like to know for certain. It would make taking an injured player more appealing.

I would place a wager with Broaddus that the Cowboys don't keep 2 FBs.

Why would a big OL work, they tried and tried and tried 4 TE's, and have had issues. Give me the FB.
also both Smith's can do multiple roles. Keith, FB / LB/ ST's...Rob, FB / RB / ST's, and he can even line up as a wide out, as he did last year.

I am not saying keep 2 FB's, but I can see the thinking behind it.

nothing to do with fullback.

it's a special teams move. and likely a final pre-season move too.

That would be an impressive display of idiocy.

Rod Smith hasn't even been available - much less done anything when he was - to be considered for a spot in this team's 53. And if the position is that important, why not go out and get an actual fullback rather than crossing your fingers that your 'project' works out and doesn't get somebody hurt?

I actually don't think it's a project anymore. K. Smith has actually looked better than any FB we've had in years. I agree that we won't keep two. I think they kept R. Smith because they don't plan on playing K. Smith tonight.
