***Official Cowboys Transactions, cuts, injuries, didn't practice, PUP, IR, NFI***post here***

I'm thinking the reason is to allow cut players to find a new team while there's still PS left as well as teams with gaps to fill them with cut players and still have some time to get them up to speed.

But generally the 1st cuts are the ones that aren't very good. The 2nd cuts are the ones who may be on a bubble somewhere who actually have a shot. These are generally the ones that get picked up or signed to a practice squad.

Ain't that the truth. They put so much into this game. I don't think the Texan fans really understand the game of football and preseason as a whole.

Some of them do, but their hatred (jealousy) for the Cowboys is far more puissant. They will thump their chest over petty achievements, no matter how insignificant, to overcome their long-lasting, penetrating inferiority complex. Kinda like a particular team in our division, actually. Sad, really.

Going to be a close call ! Think it's between Bishop and McClain !

Did not notice Bishop against Vikes. McClain played okay and Coleman was beasting. If Bishop does not get some wow plays between now and the last preseason game, don't think he makes final 53.

9 snaps and a week of practice is definitive these days. Do you think Bishop is going to make the 53?
I really don't know. He has done everything possible to play the 1tech spot the way that Marinelli likes it to be played, IMO; however, Marinelli loves Hayden and seems to want all other DTs to be 3tech types.

I just know Coleman is good, I would not cut him. I would take Bishop over McClain because he is younger and McClain gets hurt a lot and misses games.

I got to tell you this whole having to trim the roster to 75 before the PS is over is the dumbest rule ever!

I disagree. Constraints in sports always create competition. It also gives teams a chance to pick someone up and take a look at them in the last game. It actually creates some opportunity for some of these guys.

FYI, Coleman played 3tech in that game. Bishop played 1tech.

I feel you. All things being equal, Bishop should get the nod over Hayden due to youth and cost.

If they really wanted those players to have a chance to sign with another team, they would need to do something to force teams to cut the actual bubble players and not just the camp fodder.
