So what's the biggest knock on Tajh Boyd? Some draft experts had him going in the first round before this last college season.

Guy is a major project. Take away the deep ball and he''s suddenly not very good. Doesn't read defenses very well or go through his progressions. Average size at 6'1, although he's a good athlete at the QB position. And from what I've read, teams don't think he has the mental makeup to be a professional QB. At least not a starter.

He looks like he's got tools... but man I've seen him turn into a deer in headlights at times.

I have watched Big Ten football for 35 years and this kid is SOLID guys...not spectacular, but a very good plugger in the middle. Stout, sure tackler and solid kid. Some of the comments about him on this board are so ignorant it's sad. Shameful really....

The thing with Sam is that if he is drafted late, it will always be assumed that it is because he is gay. His combine workout was horrendous - he did less than 20 reps, he nearly ran a 5.0 40 yard dash, was below 10' in the broad jump and his vertical jump was less than 27". Those are the numbers of an unathletic guy. His positional workouts at LB were also poor. He's undersized for DE, and really is not a fit at LB. It would be a great story if he were to succeed and be accepted in the locker room, but if he isn't drafted, there are some reasons other than his sexual orientation.

Let Sam go to the Eagles. The mainstream media is out for blood when it comes to gays, and will try to bring down anyone and any organization they think isn't toeing their line. I don't want it to be the Cowboys.

Absolutely correct. Bridgewater was also a much better college player. Sam was good, but Bridgewater was an elite college player.

Gayle or Smallwood would be interesting. Ethan Westbrooks is another one to consider, especially if they can correct his propensity for jumping offsides (15 times flagged for it in two years). My guy Quarles is still there as well.
