Official practice squad

Carr has 192 consecutive regular season starts and 6 more playoff starts.

He has started every game since day 1 of his rookie season.

... and yet he's on a practice squad,.. instead of our 53 active roster ?

Any two practice squad players can be added to the roster every week (for a maximum of 55 active players); and then head back to the PS without passing through waivers. That means Carr can play anytime the Cowboys need him to.

and yet he's on a practice squad where he has to be moved and allevated. to an active roster. Doesn't sound like the 35 yr older is
gonna be a front runner. He's on reserve duty.

He's also going to be an excellent mentor for the young DB's on the roster. Carr loves the Dallas area (he said so before he left a few years ago) and probably loves the fact he can finish his career with the Cowboys. He's unselfish and won't complain about his role.

Thats not what I find funny. Its not me laughing at him or Dallas. Its actually a smart move. Its just the situation to where you have a 35 year old on the PS. Crazy times these days

If we dont get a vaccine soon, Ike Holt will be on the 2021 PS
They're talking to Mel Renfro.

This list is a big reason for the blue white scrimmage decision.

the cowboys picking up garrett and columbo's scraps is pretty amusing.

In all seriousness though if he can be one of those versatile vets who makes the transition to S and takes to our scheme it could be an underrated signing. He was solid for Baltimore in his rotational DB role.

Part of that rotation was as starting S at the Ravens. Besides learning our defense, it shouldn't be a big transition for him.

No one picked him up after the Ravens cut him. He has made money in the past. He lives in Dallas. Probably just considers us a good holding spot pending an opportunity he likes.

He can still leave to go to any 53 that wants him.

Bringing in McGuire is interesting. Had some big runs for the Jets back in 2017 and if he can play special teams might be an ideal RB 3.
