Fired up Netflix last night and watched MH370: The Plane That Disappeared. Decent documentary. They go over the events, what evidence there is, and show several interviews. They give you three different theories throughout the three episodes. One theory I find could definitely be plausible, but the other two are just ridiculous IMO. Still, overall, it was an interesting documentary to watch. The entire event is pretty odd, I can say that, but the truth is out there somewhere.

I watched it too. I have been following this story since the beginning and didn’t really learn anything new from this series. I don’t know what the truth is but nothing adds up for any theory. It is inconceivable to lose a commercial airplane in this day and age.

I do believe that someone/group knows what really happened but being kept from the public for some reason or another.

Last of US finale aired Sunday night. I wanted to like this show but how in the world do you make a zombie series that puts people to sleep? Seriously, the series lacked a key ingredient. Zombies!

There was more fighting between survivors than against infected.

I haven't seen every zombies movie or series. I haven't played all the video games either. But I have watched or played many of them and "Last of US" was near the bottom of my list. I don't know if there will be a season 2, but if there is I will probably skip it. I'll have to see how I feel if it returns.

This is a series that should be suspenseful and packed with terrifying scenes. Instead it is dull, slow moving and uneventful. Some of the acting is awful. "Black Summer" was 100 times better.

I really enjoyed the series, but, I also played the video game. First, I'm absolutely thrilled how faithful they were to the source material. So much so that there were some scenes that were verbatim to the video game. It was refreshing to see a video game adaptation that wasn't butchered *cough* Halo *cough*. Second, the video game premise was actually more about the (without putting spoilers) story unfolding vs the outbreak. There was more focus on character development, relationships, and humans than there was of the "infected".

With all of that said, in the video game you did have to occasionally sneak through/fight off infected. I do feel like they skipped a lot of that in the tv series. It definitely seemed to be an after thought in the storytelling of the show. Felt like they just moved freely around the country without risk. I would have liked to have seen more encounters with the infected, but the lack of that didn't spoil the show for me. I could see how it could be disappointing for somebody new to the Last of Us lore, hopping in and expecting major zombie action, and receiving very little.

Its not just that there were no infected encounters, it was also the lack of tension and suspense. They walked around yapping and making noise as if there was nothing to fear which removes the anxiety of the viewers too. It did not come off as a battle for the survival of humanity. It was more of a quest by two characters who just happened to be two of the few survivors left on earth. To pull that off they needed way better writing and better acting too.

If you haven't watched Black Summer, I recommend it.

Black Summer is really good and more realistic of what would happen during an apocalypse. It is suspenseful with lots of action. Basically, it is survival of the fittest.

Oh, I had a huge crush on a younger Jaime King…….:muttley:

Star Trek: Picard season 3 is really entertaining. Captain Shaw, while absolutely a ****, should get his own series. He's awesome, and a completely new breed of starship captain.

The first two seasons were entertaining for me, albeit moreso the first season than last season. This season? I love.

They are tying all the loose ends together. Each episode so far has been extremely cohesive. This has been a great series finale up to this point. And it is not ready to tap out yet. Great stuff.

I did not see this cameo coming but I am so glad it did happen. Great job, Michelle Forbes.

Good response to not recognizing his name.:D
The article has a picture of him in a tux. That's what I didn't recognize. Obviously I didn't know his name. I don't usually pay attention to those things. Hell, I might be able to recognize the names of most of the main actors if I saw them, but I wouldn't be able to think of their names. :p

Almost done with season 3 of "You" on Netflix. It is a dark comedy about a guy who repeatedly becomes obsessed with different women believe each one of them is "his one true love". I enjoyed season 1 and 2 - and most of season 3, but it is starting to get tedious. The show is clever most of the time but after awhile it is hard to watch the same guy go through the same obsession. It is almost silly at times as he stalks his true loves out in the open but it works. I never liked shows about obsessive compulsive people, it drives me crazy, and "You" is getting there, just not yet. I have 2 episodes left in season 3 then there is a season 4. I am kind of hoping it ends at season 4 but something tells me it probably should have ended at season 3.

I give it a 7 out of 10 for what I have watched so far.
