By gawd if dey caint do their damned old muvies in gud ole Murican, I aint a intrested. I aint a good at reedin and wachin at the same time and I hav ta reed it first and then wach it and then I dun fergut whut I red. And I reed their lips ta match their werds cuz my heron ain't grate neether on die a log.

I watch shows with sub-titles all the time. That doesn't bother me. In fact, that Korean series with Zombies was pretty good despite the sub-titles. But when they dub a show, sometimes the voices sound off or the dubbing is off and it's a little distracting.

Well, that's a double for me, I don't watch subtitled movies or Zombie movies.

I also don't watch laugh track ones and checked out on WandaVision when i saw that in the 2nd episode. They also lied with the title of the first one, that was a laugh track, not a live audience.

The Little Things HBOMax. 3/10, got to be one of the dumbest things I've seen in years. I like Denzel and Remi but that was flat out dumb as a hair popsicle.

Just make it to the third episode, and it starts getting better halfway through. From there on out, it's more of what you'd expect from Marvel.

For All Man Kind on Apple TV. Fantastic. I can't believe I passed it up for as long as I did. It's hard to wrap your mind around because it's all the astronauts and stories you've known all your life but with a completely different outcome. The music is perfect, the cars are great, and it's visually stunning. Same guy who produced Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica for all you fans.

Meateater on Netflix. I've always been a big fan of the show and Steve Rinella as a author. There's 6 new episodes out for season 9 and all of them are great.

I’d give it a negative number if I could. Hated it.

Going to start that now that they've got a second season. You never know if they're going to just drop something you like. And Binge watching really gets me attached to the characters.

I am really liking The Witcher on Netflix. I can think of all the reasons I should not like this series, but there is something about it that makes me like it. It is fun, it moves at a good pace, it's sexy and entertaining. I am not usually into elves, and witches, magic and all that stuff, but this show doesn't take itself too seriously. I give is a B+.

The time jumps are wonky at first, but it's pretty good.

Finished part 3 of Disenchantment. I really like this show.

Watched the Crew on Netflix. Basic sitcom but I enjoyed it.

"For All Mankind" is better than I anticipated and reminds me a lot of "From the Earth to the Moon" on HBO, which was excellent. Loved "The Right Stuff" too and I am not really a science guy but astronauts just fascinate me. Saw the capsule Glenn orbited in and if that had been me, with my claustrophobia, they wouldn't have needed fuel, my screams could have powered that capsule around the earth in about 5 minutes. Ground Control would have been voting. "OK, how many hands to just leave him up there"?

I have to have closed caption on any tv I watch now. Old age has crept in and I got tired of saying "what did they say" adn backing it up 17 times to hope to understand what they were saying. And the actors are talking with a foreign dialect, British, Spanish, French, Italian...I have to be certain it is on because it gets to frustrating.

i did purchase a new 77 inch LG GX OLED and new soundbar that will be installed next week. I am looking forward to watching movies on that. Of course in April, I expect an even better model of the OLED to be in stores. But I am sure the price will be significantly higher.

If the sound bar doesn't help enough, you can probably get wireless headphones or earphones.

Let me know how that sound bar works out for you. I bought a Samsung one about 5 years ago and I have a real problem with dialogue, especially if the music or sfx are hot in the background. I have to turn it up so loud to pick up on the dialogue and I have read where they're doing a lot more with sound bars regarding dialogue because there's so many of us with hearing issues. I also have tinnitus and that's no fun either.

With you on the dialects as well and Irish makes me wanna drink, I spend so much time rewinding takes me twice as long to watch anything with that dialect.

Fools didn't tell me about headphones and what that would do to my hearing, they were too busy telling me I could go blind with the other thing. I may wear contacts but I don't wear hearing aids....yet.

Not sure what it is but so many movies and shows seem to emphasize the background music and sound effect it drowns out the dialogue. Then when you change the sound setting for dialogue the music and sound effects sound tinny.

I can never understand the British when they talk with a heavy accent. I understand all the other accents much better. Also, a lot of actors have taken to the habit of whispering their dialogue or mumbling. What's with that?

Finished watching it today. I really like how they tied it all together and set us up for the next season. Can't wait for it to come out. I heard it might not be released until August.

I threw this on the other night. It didn't seem too bad. Kind of your typical dumb comedy sitcom.

How do you like that 77 inch?? I just bought a 65" LG CX. Love it so far. I stared long and hard at the 77" but I just don't think it would fit in my entertainment center setup. lol Would have been awesome though. I would have to turn my head to look across the screen.
