Watched episode seven of WandaVision and I finally got the reveal I've been waiting for and expecting since the first episode. I can't wait to see the last two episodes. Watch the credits this week.

Almost missed the part in the credits. I usually FF through the 7+ minutes of it, and just happened to look up and see an extra scene.

I am glad my suspicions of Agnes are true but I have not been a full-time comics collector in decades.

Harkness is a very powerful witch but I remember her as an older character, maybe in her 70's. I remember her (I believe) as a part-time mentor for Wanda, Sue Richards, Crystal (Inhumans), etc. I am really excited that her character has been introduced into the series and MCU but I have a question.

Did Marvel re-invent her character into a younger version in the comics sometime in the recent past?

Man, I just started this and am wondering how in the hell did anyone stay with this? That first episode might be the worst thing I've ever watched. Does the laugh track stay with this?

A LOT of people struggled with the first two episodes. At least one of which was filled in front of a live studio audience. OK, I am trusting you guys and forging ahead but if I get to Ep 7 and it's not any better, I need to know who's going to compensate me for 3.5 hours of a life with a time limit on it. I am on the downside so my prices have adjusted accordingly.

Perhaps some viewers have approached watching WandaVision "as is." I have an opinion that may not be shared by many.

In my opinion, Marvel Studios created a series that is quintessential modern-day comic book storytelling. Anyone who has read a comic book in the past 30 or so years understand that the story presented to the reader always has an underlining reason or secondary plot.

People like what they like. If you choose WandaVision as entertainment following rules it seems to emulate, it will be a disappointment. If you select WandaVision from the beginning as a layered complex tale that will encompass:

• Wanda's significance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
• What Vision means to her
• How this series and the others premiering on Disney+ are tied directly with the studios' widescreen cinematic releases

--you may have a different mindset that looks beyond the obviously shallow comedy surface of each episode and discover the real story being told underneath.

In short, WandaVision is not a comedy. It has not been a comedy from its start. Think about it.

I was in the same boat, but it ends up making some sense that they dragged it out. I'm not sure they had to drag it out as long as they did, but it's worth it, IMO.

My son said it gets better once it's under Amazon's direction and not SyFy with their Planet 9 budgets. I think that starts with season 4.

I disagree. I think the first few seasons are better. They seem to be much more interested in getting the science right, almost like they're trying to teach people how badly most sci-fi shows and movies get it wrong....and I think the stories were better.

Sooooooo, taking the fiction out of science fiction?

Screw the stories, I like shiny things, fast things and and am willing to be fooled easily. Take out science, insert monster and I am content.

The story is still fiction. They just do things like turn the ship around to use the thrusters for slowing down, rather than thinking that a ship would slow down on its own, simply by "taking one's foot off the gas". They simulate gravity with acceleration, deceleration, and centrifugal inertia. If someone gets injured in zero gravity, they understand the dangers.........Just little things like that are things I find satisfying.

To answer your questions, the absurdity peaked my curiosity and no. The laugh track live studio audience is there because it is a recreation of that era of television, they also used period specific film equipment and techniques. Everyone I know that was experiencing the same initial reservations, they all had those reservations subside after watching the fourth episode. Stick with it, you'll thank us.

Thanks for the Harkness confirmation. I am okay with an 'illusion of youth' Harkness (after all, one of the most powerful magical beings in the Marvel Universe should be able to pull off that trick with ease ) .

I was curious whether Harkness had been re-imagined like characters often are over time, especially by Marvel. I am old enough to remember the Guardians of the Galaxy were led by Major Vance Astro. And Starhawk was a secondary character composed of a husband and wife merged into a cosmic being. Then I find out after I stopped collecting comic books full-time Marvel replaced Astro as the leader of the Guardians with a re-envisioned Starhawk, minus the dual character, made Human and adopted the hyphenated Lord for his name instead of 'hawk'.

Marvel is crazy imaginative. I love them.

I agree with this. I loved the first 4 seasons. Season 5 was okay, and I am hooked to watch Season 6 when it comes out, but Season 5 was slow and nothing more than a buildup to what I expect will be their grand finale. Season 5 could have been a 2 hour movie.

And I also agree, one of the attractions of The Expanse was how the tech was somewhat realistic, and the science was mostly accurate too. In season 5 they took some big liberties with the laws of nature. They stole some scene from Farscape it appeared.

Has anyone watched the Tribes of Europa yet on Netflix. I think it was just release on the 19th. At first I was curious, but I saw the trailer and it looks like it's a dubbed foreign series. That's not necessarily bad if the dubbing is good, but the dialogue seems a bit cheesy. I am watching season 1 of the Witcher now and will probably get to Tribes next.
