I have a 2 year old boy who loves watching football with me. However its just goofy to think he knows who the players are. He keeps forgetting my sisters name. How could a child at 2 know enough ot understand who Vick is? They cant.

Did you miss gemini dolly's post? He has a 3 year old neice who everytime she watches the Cowboys talks about "Tony RoRo" and gets excited.

Its not that they have to know the entire background about a player. They just see something about the player that elicits a happy reaction. Just like im sure most kids don't know what the "wiggles" show or other cartoons are all about.. yet they still have favorites and are happy when watching the show.

Please.. just drop it. Its really ridiculous to think a child couldn't possibly get excited over a certain player without knowing the life story of the player.

Stop lying. And stop trying to cover for Choice.

Don't you know that the child experts onboard have already told us that no three year old has any understanding of football or sports personalities?

Considering this thread is now 22 pages long, I think it is safe to say that Choice is never going to live this down with alot of Cowboy fans.

Whatever side of the argument you are on, I think everybody can agree on this.

If some fans can live down the fact the Cowboys signed T.O. because of his "star dance," they'll develop short memories if Choice starts scoring touchdowns and helping the Cowboys win games.

In just a week we've gone from "Tashard Choice makes Marion Barber expendable" to "Tashard Choice is not friend to dogs."

All this shows is fans are fickled.

So Choice's nephew is spending a lot of time watching Eagles games?

Does he have NFL Ticket?

I'm sure everyone's covered all the relevant points.

I'll just post what I thought when I saw it. Time and a place for everything, man.

I think what alot of people are having a hard time believing is Choice saying that his nephew told him that "Vick is my brother" and that is why Choice wanted to get Vick's autograph to give to him.

Do you really think a 2 year old knows enough words or even understands the concept of "having a brother" enough to tell Choice this?

Very hard to belive this story.

And not to mention, children at that age mimick their parents. If the parents are huge Vick fans, talk about Vick and watch Vick, the child generally imitates the parents, their speech and their likes.

We're not talking cognitive knowledge, we're talking imitation knowledge.

And I know this is something that a lot of people don't like (particularly myself because I believe what Vick did is heinous) but in many urban, rural communities, dog fighting is a popular underground sport. A lot of black folks think Vick got shafted. I don't want to get into that discussion again. But, at least privately, Michael Vick isn't the pariah in some communities as he is in general society.

Nah.. im pretty sure that a brother or sister of a professional football player wouldn't or couldn't possibly watch alot of football.

You're really reaching this argument man.. please stop. Or respond to gemini dolly's post and call him a liar. I honestly doubt you have ever had kids based on your responses here..

First, apparently the kid is 3. Second, what is your response to gemini dolly's post then?

His neice calls Tony, "Tony RoRo". Do you actually think Choice's nephew says "Michael Vick is my brother."??

This is honestly a silly argument..

And I'm sure a family based in the south with a relative on the Cowboys would spend a huge amount of time watching the Eagles and glorifying to their son the great dog killing QB on their most hated rival.

Someone who is 25 is doubting whether I have kids.

STHU junior.

And I'm not calling gemini a liar, I'm saying a dad who is a fan watching his favorite team every weak with his 3 year old is a completely different circumstance.
