Future Texans QB…

I keep hearing that here but Osweiler is guaranteed $16M next season. Wouldn't be easy fitting Romo in under the cap with the money Osweiler is guaranteed. The Texans almost have to go with Osweiler another year unless they can massage the cap enough to fit him and Romo.

AZ should dump Palmer for Romo, that would be his best fit. They're not getting anywhere with Palmer, Romo would be a better option. AZ was the best team not to make the playoffs, they were top 10 offensively and defensively. Romo is more efficient than Palmer who only had an 87.2 passer rating this season, plus Romo throws more TD's.

He isn't going to come right out and say they are moving on from him. Having even a sliver of doubt that the Cowboys will trade/cut him may have an impact on other teams willingness to trade more/higher picks for him. If other teams know he's going to be cut if nobody trades for him, they are much more inclined to sit back, try to keep their picks and sign him outright.

Man, this place will blow up if Dallas reinserts Romo as the starter and sits Dak next year.

I don't think it's likely. I think Jerry is just posturing in his comments about the situation. But I'd admit that I would love to watch the meltdown.

Jerry as long as you stick to circumcising Mosquitos and not Romo we will be fine.

Jerry is a smart man. He wants to get the most out of team to bid for Romo. Teams know how Jerry feels for him. He's going to maximize what he can get.

I know it would be great to get a draft pick for Tony, but its more beneficial, if we cut him June 1st, besides teams know this. So my question is do we end up trading or releasing Tony??

He's serious. He loves him some Romo. If he doesn't get anything of value for Romo, we might be Dak vs Romo part II.

Denver is saying that they are not interested in Romo, but don't believe that. Elway would be crucified if he went into next season with Siemien as his starter and Lynch still a greenhorn. Siemien is what he is.....a true 7th round pick and plays like one. Lynch needs some seasoning for next couple of years. Enter Peyton, I mean Tony and the Broncos are legit in the AFC West once again. Right now, the Chiefs and the Raiders are better.

Tony will be traded. Heck I would even settle for just changing #1 picks with Denver-----go up to #20. And a third round pick.

I still think he's a June 1st cut. Hopefully we can find a trade partner, but I don't see it happening.

I think he's released unless we get an offer we can't refuse.

From what I see, we gain 14M in cap room if he is a June 1st cut. If we want to try to add talent into defense, 14M will help more than an extra 4th round pick.

I don't think it was ever really realistic to trade him when you look at the cap implications. I'm sure we will field some offers but if we are choosing between a mid round pick and an extra 10 million in cap space, take the space.

I thought Lynch was a 1st round pick?

Why wouldn't they want to start playing this guy in his 2nd year unless they thought he was a bust.

Trade him...try to get the best pick available, then use the pick on a right tackle...

And trade him who gives you the best offer. This is nonsense talk about ensuring Romo can pick and choose teams. This is a business...

Unless we can trade him exactly where he wants to go, you let him pick.

This is a business. And a big part of how you run your business is how you treat loyal employees. A release would show him great respect. That says a ton to UFAs we might try to recruit.

A trade shows you think about nothing but the short term. A release shows you understand the long term.
